Just had my car returned after 15 days, upon inspecting the vehicle identified really poor workmanship, which has left me no alternative than return the vehicle. This will Result in me Not able to use my vehicle and not able to use the courtesy car as it’s unsafe and not suitable for motorway driving. The staff and unhelpful and lack care and customer service experience.

They did a fantastic job repairing my car, it looks like new without any trace of damage. The pick-up, drop-off was perfect too.

Rushed repairs, poor work done. Caused more trouble than it’s worth. Would not recommend.

Had a cosmetic repair done on the insurance. Staff were friendly and helpful job done very well and efficiently despite having to wait for parts. All things considered would use them again despite obviously not wanting to.

AVOID THESE COWBOYS. My car was sent for repair to FMG Stockport by third party insurance company and the work they have done is just rubbish. Took three months to get the car back from them. Substandard paint work and repair work. Disgusting service

Avoid at all cost. I have had repair work carried out with FMG Stockport via my insurance. When my car work was initially complete I went to inspect my car and refused to take my vehicle as it looked like a apprentice had carried out my work. -There was a obvious orange peel effect in the paint work. -The paint work went from metallic to matt as it reached the lower part of the car. -There was a small area where the paint was joining the bumper to the car body. - The edges or the rear bumper had not been adequately prepared before paint work was carried out. - Visible paint drips on the edges of the panels. - Put on a Alloy that doesn’t even match the other 3 alloys in colour. - Left a scratch on the roof of the car. -Side skirt incorrectly fitted. - paint work on inner door sils not even buffed of polished was forgotten about. The fact all this missed quality goes to show the quality processes and procedures in place are clearly inadequate or are not being adhered to correctly. I then went to inspect the vehicle for a second time, as it was raining and the vehicle was covered in rain drops it was difficult to closely scrutinise the work that had been carried. Once the water cleared on the drive back home and the rain stopped I inspected the work closely. Once again adequate quality checks have not been carried out and the following was observed. - Damage to the car bonnet - Small area of the lower side of the bumper beginning to flake. - chip to the paint on wheel arch - Tried pulling a sly manoeuvre by spraying just the face of the alloy that they missed during quality check with visible spray marks showing on the inner surface of the alloy, I would not be surprised if they didn't even take the wheel off the car. They also sprayed the front alloy on the same side thinking I probably wont realise. The colour completely different to what is on the other-side. - They have used poor polishing/preparation techniques which has left a ugly hologram behind. Which ruins the look of the car under sunlight. Once again a failed quality inspection. After speaking to one of the employees on the phone about the damage to the bonnet. I was told that they will paint only the scratches they have caused on the bonnet and then clear coat the the entire bonnet, thats when I knew I was dealing with a bunch of cowboys. It is clear that FMG quality checks in place have miserably failed and require a review. Also the quality of work produced is of a poor standard and the techniques in place require a review or insufficient training is provided resulting in personnel not being suitably qualified for the jobs they are carrying out. If you know nothing about about car body work avoid this place and if you do know then its at your own risk. I have added some images of the clear difference in alloy colour and evidence of the face being sprayed, the hologram effect left behind and the damage to the bonnet.
