I buy my fire wood here regularly. Today, the shop had a good offer: 2 very large log sacks for Β£40. Good value! Sadly, these are positioned by the exit, to make it easy to load them into your car. The cashier however refused to sell them to me unless I carried one of them to him so he could scan it! He couldnβt be asked to search for it on his system (which is obviously possible). I told him I didnβt want them anymore. Wickes, sort out your staff. A bit of customer service culture and training would go a long way.

I placed a click and collect order just now and was disappointed as I'd travelled from near Staines to collect and it was shop soiled. The manager Shaylee dealt with the fact I was annoyed, really professionally and understood my frustration even though to some it wouldn't or shouldn't matter, it was good to be heard and dealt with appropriately. WARNING!! DO NOT BUY FROM WICKES I purchased two Fireplace Mantels back in June. One of them arrived damaged. After being given the runaround by Wickes who avoids all responsibility and blame their external supplier even though Wickes were the ones that took the money. It was finally returned. In September. It is mid October I still have not been refunded my money. Wickes just avoid avoid avoid. Iβve spoken to the external supplier who has confirmed theyβve received the returned item and given Wickes permission to process the refund however, Wickes just keeps saying, βlet us check with our refund departmentβ. They are just thieves. They make no attempt to rectify the situation or help the customer. They have the most appalling customer service and you are left to do all the chasing to get your own money back. this company should go out of business and hopefully will soon given all the alternatives we have these days that make returns simple. Imagine if you bought a whole kitchen and had this issue? youβll never see your money again. There is no customer peace of mind or guarantee with this company. They are simply just crooks. And in response to WICKES reply below..I've done nothing but reach out to you and you DO NOTHING!!! I'm in a long painful, time sucking email chain with your appalling customer service. SO don't pretend you care because if you did this would have been resolved already.

Wikes used to be decent stores, now they are really badly managed and this one is one of worst Iβve experienced. Went to buy some new usb electric faceplates. Absolutely nothing in stock. Walking around the store, this seemed to be a common theme around the aisles. Really poor guys, come on! Stock your shelves sufficiently. A wasted trip.

30 day return or exchange policy on unused items is ridiculous. Part time DIY often takes me longer than 30 days. I don't want to drive to the store every weekend to buy little items and return things within 30 days.

Good store but the Sales person on the till needs training, as having a chewing gum in his mouth constantly, and couldnβt even bend down to scan the heavy item, on top keeps saying β you cant take the basket outsideβ I was keep ignoring him due to his chewing gum and unhelpful way of serving customer, after he mention 4times I looked at his eyes and told him I heard you, as soon as he looked in to my eyes he then stop. It was a big guy, around 5:30pm on 16th January 2022. Thats the only to get 1star unfortunately.
