Brilliant! Like an Aladdin’s cave for everything you need from screws to paint and all in between

I don’t usually like leaving bad reviews but people need to know what happened and so that they can avoid this pitfall in the future. Myself and my extended family have been using this place for 4 years now, we must have spent hundreds, maybe thousands, collectively here. Today I went to buy two radiator bleed keys. I paid £3.99 went home and both keys broke, shattered, as soon as they came into contact with the radiator. I didn’t even have to turn them fully. They both broke. So I strolled back down to the shop thinking the proprietor would give me a replacement set, after all I had just had a jovial conversation with him whilst buying the keys, 10 minutes before. Bear in mind I’m a repeat customer. For 10 mins he refused to give me another set saying I should make a complaint to the manufacturer directly. He said ‘If you want returns go to screw fix or b&q’ !! but that he doesn’t do returns. I was polite and calm and explained that we are repeat customers. I gave him one more chance but he refused to replace the item without charging me full price. I explained that he is destroying his reputation for £3.99 and that he would lose multiple customers as a result. Wouldn’t budge. So here’s my review, oh and none of my family will ever visit this shop again. Maybe this is why large conglomerates have taken over the high street over the years. I would’ve thought he would’ve made some sort of concession or acknowledgment of my rights as a buyer, but he ignored all my reasonable points and wasted my time. In the end, sadly, I ordered a replacement key online from a reputable reseller. I hope this helps others.

The opening hours are more of an aspirational goal than an actual guide to when they're open. Been there both Saturday and Sunday mornings and they have not been open even after waiting 20min.

Needed two things and got them no problem. Well stocked shop and reasonable prices. Always good to support local shops and saves on fuel and time going to Purley Way.

What a handy shop. Albeit small, it holds an enormous amount of stock and seems to have everything you need for DIY work. The chap that runs the shop is very helpful and is open all hours.

Very useful to have this little shop near by, saves a trip up Purley way! Surprisingly well stocked with a variety of essentials, especially considering it's small size.

Good to support local! Yes - we have the big boys pretty close in the area ( Selco, Wickes etc.) but its hard to beat the local guy - I can walk around the corner and there he is. Used the shop about a dozen times - and only once he didn't have what I was looking for. Price wise - sometimes a little more expensive (little meaning maybe 5% more) but often cheaper than the big chain stores - and I don't have to have the hassle of driving, then trying to find a park when back.
