   Generally good here, the staff are a good bunch and items are usually picked quickly. However something needs to be done about the customers who walk up to the till and expect the staff to find products for them rather than using click and collect or ordering in store using the touch screens. These people need to be told to order like everyone else does, especially if the store is busy. I cannot imagine the hours of my life I’ve lost waiting behind people who have walked up to the till and said things like ‘have you got any wall plugs mate?’ Yes, they have thousands of them, go over there, choose the ones you want, come back to the till when you’re ready to pay.

   I literally would add a 0 stars I was served by Rob and it was an unpleasant experience. He was unprofessional, argumentative and childish.

   I can not praise Mark who works in Screw Fix highly enough. He spent time patiently helping me purchase the hoover I was looking for and went extra mile when he saw me distraught at putting it together, in trying to fix the wheels and handles. I then found out that he did this during his own break without even letting me know. People like Mark, make you believe there is hope in humanity! He should be recognised by the head office!

   This Screwfix regularly has the worst customer service I've experienced. It appears so poorly run. The wait for your items to arrive at the collection desk is a joke, on average 4-9 minutes. It's frustrating only because it's usually so quick and well organised at all the other Screwfix branches I frequent.

   The problem with Screw Fix is that if there is a problem and you want to cancel then you need to either go to the the store to process it or call up on the phone and wait ten or fifteen minutes. There is no facility to modify an in flight order online even if the item has not reached the collection point. The staff know this is a pain and have a practiced speech letting you know how to handle it, so the staff are doing what they can. Nobody in the store is at fault. Like wise, the staff on the phone know what to do and seem to have a script to follow. Nobody on the phone is at fault. However, If the *organisation* had been set up to deliberately make cancellation such a lot of trouble that they maximise the number of unprocessed refunds (and keep the money and the stock) then there is nothing they would do differently from this. It is about time this got fixed.
