What can I say about this store, nothing nice. I ordered a number of items online for click and collect 9 items in total. I only ordered items after checking the online stores stock check. Paid for the order with my debit card in advance. Waited a couple of hours then received a phone call from a very rude and abrupt staff member which proceeded as follows, This is homebase we ain't got most of your order in stock. She then reels off a list of 8 out of 9 items they don't have, then asked if I want a credit note. No you can cancel the order and credit my debit card with the full amount, was my reply. Oh if your sure we will send you an email then put the phone down. In fairness I receive the credit to my card the following day. They still only get one star through.

Came in to get an electric screwdriver I have seen online. Whilst staff were visible in the shop floor, some were casually waving, chatting to each others rather than paying attention to customers. The electric screwdrivers sections was quite messy and I was looking for a cordless one and couldn't find one as they were locked in. I reached out to one of the staff there and rather than showing me options, he pulled out the most expensive set at 40pounds from Bosch from the back. He said that this was the only one left. I was not convinced. At the till, I did a quick google search on homebase before forking out 40pounds and the store had a black and decker one for 20pounds. I asked for this to be brought and bought this one so his previous statement was a lie. I didn't need an extensive kit. Customer service wasn't great, lazy behaviour as a whole. I also sense that being a female, I was going to be mugged off with purchasing something more expensive which should not happen. I will definitely not come back and I will go to B&Q instead where they are much warmer and helpful.

This Homebase is 5min from me you could say itβs not great shop or service but Iβm a carpenter and somehow Iβm finding always some interesting and great stuff what you canβt find any builder merchants. On top of it my wife every spring brings garden to garden plants.

People on the check out need to speed up and stop chatting. Annoying waiting in a long line to see someone working at a snails pace with a smile on their face having a chat! It's not waitrose......please serve quicker

Brilliant store. Prefer this to B&Q. Staff are friendly and helpful. Easy to navigate around and prices seem to be better than their rivals.

Best selection for garden related furniture, ornaments and plant pots. Large car park and plenty of trolleys.

A good place to do your garden and DIY shopping. There is plenty of free parking (90 minutes) and you will find a space even on Tuesday and Thursday morning when Catford Wanderers have their boot sales and customers illegally park in Homebase. OK for small projects, but does not seem so good for the big stuff.

Filthy. Labels missing, or incorrect, not enough staff, lots of gaps on shelves Customers crowded down 1 aisle to queue for tills. Plants dead on shelves. If they allow their standards to be so bad in customer facing environment, I can only imagine what their warehouse standards are like. There would of have been more photos but my battery was low. I went in looking for wallpaper and laminate flooring but I left without buying anything. I will never visit or shop with Homebase again.

This place is a mess. Bird droppings left to rust on to power tools in the middle of the store, inside! Click and collect rarely works (they call you to say they donβt have things). Shop floor is often chaotic and untidy. Wish it was better.
