We have had an extremely disappointing experience with B&Q’s delivery service. We were originally waiting for our delivery last Saturday. The delivery was rearranged twice without any notification. No one informed us of the changes, yet our team waited at the property both times, wasting an entire days. The delivery was then scheduled for today. Unfortunately, when the driver arrived, he displayed a very poor attitude for no apparent reason. The driver claimed he could not access the road. I immediately asked a neighbour to move their car, and within five minutes the road was completely clear. Despite this, the delivery vehicle left without delivering anything. The driver then ignored all further phone calls. As a result, everything had to be rearranged again due to a “shortage of lorries,” causing significant disruption and unnecessary costs for us. For a company as large as B&Q, the lack of communication, poor internal processes, and disregard for customers is unacceptable. These issues may seem minor internally, but they create serious problems for families and small teams trying to manage their time and work. To make matters worse, we were still charged a £30 delivery fee for a delivery that never happened, and I had to contact customer service again to request a refund. That said, I would like to highlight that James from your team was very helpful throughout the process. Although he was unable to rearrange the delivery for us, he did call back to explain the situation and offered a discount to help us keep the order. While the delivery still did not take place, it was reassuring to see at least one member of staff handling the situation professionally and with care. Overall, this has been an extremely frustrating experience. Based on this experience, I would not order from B&Q again, as there appears to be little concern for customer experience or accountability.

**** Outstanding Service from Mr. Matthew Feast **** I purchased a shower nearly four years ago, and one day the door suddenly shattered into pieces. When I contacted B&Q customer service, I was given different explanations, and at first it seemed I wouldn’t get any proper support, despite my invoice clearly showing a 5-year warranty. Thankfully, I had the chance to speak with Mr. Matthew Feast, Showrooms Manager, and he completely changed my experience. He was professional, reassuring, and promised to resolve the matter. He kept his word – he secured a full refund under the warranty. What impressed me most was his attitude and efficiency. Mr. Feast always replied promptly, gave me clear and correct answers, and even chased things up on my behalf – something you don’t often see in customer service. In my opinion, Mr. Feast has exceptional qualities that go beyond a Showrooms Manager – he has the skills and dedication to be a Site Manager. This has been the best service I have ever received from B&Q, thanks to him.

This B&Q store in Beckton is great. This store is large and well organised, making it easy to find what you want. Also there is ample free parking available on site, when you arrive. The range of products is very extensive. From DIY essentials, tools, fixings to a great selection of paints, wallpaper, decorating supplies, they’ve got pretty much everything for a home project. The garden section is especially worth mentioning, there is a wide variety of plants, composts, pots, outdoor furniture, and seasonal items like BBQs and fire pits. Everything was well stocked and clearly priced, which made comparing options simple. They also have a decent kitchen and bathroom showroom with a variety of styles on display, plus samples. A dedicate trade point entrance is also convenient for quick access to those that need to get in and out quick. Overall, B&Q Beckton is a solid one stop shop for home improvement, whether you are doing a major reno or a minor fix.

I love this store. You can get everything you want in 1 go. My only comment would be is that it is difficult to find help quickly as the floor staff seem to congregate in groups in certain areas. As I am disabled I cannot shop for long due to standing and walking and there is no where to sit. Maybe having some call system like on the tills would help to summon help?

Nice quick visit! Popped in to grab a Christmas tree! Good selection, nice sizes and the prices, I think, were good! A few of the trees were a little tatty, they advertised delivery for items in store, but the assistant told us it’s not for items actually in the store. We didn’t wanna risk getting a sloped tree so we got the one we wanted! The assistant (sorry I didn’t get her name, blond hair with glasses) was extremely helpful and kind! And very patient! I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!

So this store offers free parking right next to the shop which is convenient. Large trolleys are available as are normal sized ones. Staff are helpful and polite. The store is big so be prepared to walk a while. There is good disabled access and parking along with key cutting services, a nursery of plants and tool hire. Overall a decent store.

It was the first time for me to come over to Beckton, as I needed to come to B&Q, and I have to say I had a very pleasant experience in the store. The staff were very friendly and also very helpful, I needed to get some items and I could not find them until one of the staff went out of their way to help me. When I got to the tills I had a very helpful and informative conversation with a staff member, about how I shorten the tree by a couple of inches. This member of staff {Frank}, was very pleasant and his knowledge and understanding was excellent, he is a credit to B&Q, has where all the staff I had interactions with. A rather pleasant experince. I have posted some photos, and a badly done video, the Christmas demonstration is excellent.
