   Over the past few weeks I've spent a fortune on ridiculously large over priced sample pots of paint from B&Q. We decided on a colour we liked from the Farrow and Ball range so visited the store today to purchase two pots costing £57.50 each. I had read that most stores will refund the sample pot price if you buy the paint. One of the managers took delight in telling us this wasn't the case. I wanted to thank her as we have now purchased a 5l pot straight from Farrow and Ball, making a saving of £17. Just to let customers know the Dulux trade centre mix a wide variety of paints and do refund the price of the sample pot on purchase.

   Unreal service at this B&Q … always have great experiences with the staff but today’s visit I was helped by Sunil who is utterly amazing. So so helpful, I’m trying to renovate my kitchen with no clue what I’m doing but Sunil has been so informative and efficient helping me with what I needed. This is why I come to this store!!, all the staff here are so nice and always happy!. Sarah also helped me today and she was equally as helpful! Great range of items and the store is well laid out and things are easy to find. Xx

   A very delayed review but I was helped by Hayley who was extremely helpful and friendly as well as knowledgeable, she knew where everything was that I was after! she also supported me with mixing my paint which was perfect and super quick! I was then served by Joan at the till who was also super helpful and friendly. She helped me with a voucher I had that I was having some difficulties with but she resolved everything smoothly and effectively! Nothing but a great experience and I got everything I needed on my visit and the staff were more than exceptional :)

   Over the last 6 months - the same "out of order" justification is used for the timber cutting on and off completely randomly. Unreliable, do not plan/count on B&Q management to care either.

   Great store with everything you need for home improvement work! Lots of paint options and colours, need to wait and queue for paint service on the weekend. Good garden centre managed to get a cherry blossom plant and wisteria. Staff is helpful. Can be queues at the checkout area

   Ignorant staff! At least the ones which I’ve meet yesterday. I went to buy laminate floors and there were not enough boxes displayed. I asked not one but 2 people if they have more at the back or that is everything. They said that the only stock it is displayed. Well, ok, I tried to order it online, while I was in the store and it was showing me that I can click and collect the same laminate, the amount I want in the same store! When I asked again they were saying that this is impossible, and that it’s showing like that but they will decline my order. That the system it’s not updated and that I should check another store. Well, why would I travel 30 min to another store which may or may not be available as per their saying? Or be in the same situation? It was a blonde young lady, with glasses, who start rolling her eyes and look at me in a rude way, along with another gentleman, old short person, who we’re arguing with me that I am not right and that I should try to purchase just to prove them that the order will go through. Luckily, a nice gentleman at collection point looked into their system and told me how much stock they have and that I should order online. None of the other told me that someone can check for me. They were rude and arrogant. I am not working there but I have a better understanding than they to in regards stock. Especially the young lady who was leaning on the sleeves and barely talking when Ia asked for advice. It is a shame!!!

   I attended b and a Belvedere today at around 11.30 and asked a chap called Matthew if he could help my husband and I with regard to buying a bath etc. what a lovely helpful chap, he went above and beyond to help us look for a shower that was not in stock, plus all our other requirements. He was a very helpful and patient young man who I thanked but he just said it’s my job. Please employ more young people like him, he was so nice

   I would strongly advise against seeking any service from here as staff will make you feel like you are disturbing them by asking questions/ trying to follow-up on appointment and treat you with hostility. maybe it is a racial issue as other reviews here seem positive but I’ve had 2 negative experiences here this year. Very argumentative and unhelpful. I would say if you are going in to-buy products and don’t require assistance, this store is decent in size and stock. Anything requiring assistance here will be a waste of your time otherwise, unless you’re white perhaps?

   A disappointing visit today. I was looking for wallpaper and had a few patterns in mind that I had seen online. Unfortunately a lot of shelves were empty and I couldn't buy anyway because there wasn't enough rolls with the same batch number. I know I can order online but some items not available to deliver to my postcode. I have ordered now but its a 7 day delivery and decorator is due next week !

   There would be fewer stars because of the difficulty of finding objects and lack of help from staff but for one exception. An energetic young black lad who made the whole experience much less stressful. His keeness and willingness to help were the only things that make me happy to shop here.
