Excellent service from a young man who helped me with loading compost into my car. Very pleasant young chap. Well done

Very disappointed. I ordered a delivery which never arrived on the scheduled day. When I called to ask, they said it was on the van and told me to come and collect it instead, which defeats the point of delivery. I rang again to double-check before going, only to be told it had been sold out. So clearly, they never attempted to deliver it in the first place. Poor service, won’t be ordering again.

Store is looking so much better in the last two months. More team members around the store, helpful, shelves are stocked, never used to be and feels cleaner. Vast improvement in only a short space of time. Think they’ve a new Manager and it’s shows!

I've lived locally for over 10 years and had not been here before today. I was pleasantly surprised. It's a decent outlet. Not too big but with pretty much everything you're likely to need. I came in for some hardboard and decorating supplies. They had some good offers on what you'd probably call amateur DIY basics. My visit was for 10AM opening on a Sunday morning - definitely the time to come - only because this retail park/industrial estate can get busy. I try to avoid coming here if I can. They don't seem to have baskets so I was told to use a black plastic bucket from the display...bit weird. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

Very disappointed, still didn't get back my refund more then a month!! After the survey and also after several phone calls, they don't respond at all... These days in 2023 they should do better! Just not good enough,

Click and collect for larger items is a time saver, already loaded up on a trolley for you to wheel out the door, just make sure tou check any timber tou buy as staff don't select pieces they just find what tou want and the quantity and fill the trolley

It's seems a smaller store but isnt as busy as others due to its more rural location so no queues and good stock. Only downside is not their fault, it's the traffic light system to exit the retail park, can have a bit of a wait there but definitely recommend, especially if busier stores are not your thing.

Absolute shambles of a store. Walked in there and there was empty trolleys everywhere blocking isles, some empty trolleys others half unloaded, pipes fittings thrown all over the floors, shelvs half empty throughout the store, zero stock of what I wanted, nobody working on the floor, 3 staff at the tills (2 girls and a boy who have no knowledge of products) and the girls having a big chat. Outside the entrance signs blown all over the floors, bags of compost thrown on the ground after falling off a pallet and two more staff out the side of the building smoking and playing with a football. Who is the manager of this place or are they still on furlough?

This review relates to the Kitchen and Bathroom service. I have given the score of three, just as overall I find Wickes quite helpful, and the staff are all friendly, informed, and always happy to answer your questions. However, I found the kitchen and bathroom design service quite disappointing overall. Just a few overall points on the design process. - For the kitchen I told the designer what I wanted, hoping to bounce a few ideas off them, and I just got back let's keep it the same layout as it is already is. I did say as the first point that I didn’t like the existing layout. - I asked for the bathroom to be quoted as well, and basically, they didn't want to do it, essentially, they just wanted to do the Kitchen (so no bathroom quote) - Asking for rough costs, I didn't really get any sensible answers, I get it depends on the kitchen, but you should be able to give me a budget, mid-range, and premium costs. - Made clear I wouldn’t be given anything on paper until I had paid the deposit, which I get they are protecting the design process, but I didn’t like that from a politeness point of view, have faith in your product. On the actual kitchens themselves. I have done a lot of research from lots of different suppliers and over all these are my observations (these are just my thoughts after doing the research, and I may be wrong.) - The units seem to be of comparatively poor quality, if you look closely you can see the shelves (especially the supports are flimsy), the shelve edges are not sealed all the way round, some of the cupboards aren't deep enough to fit a dinner plate in. - The kitchens aren't competitive in value at all, it seems to be a premium price tag with a lower quality product. - The don’t offer 0% finance as standard, they had a deal running with 0%, but I am unsure if this was a pressure sales tactic. Again, these are just my impressions and experiences, and I have to say the staff as always at Wickes were helpful and informed.
