   So, we casually walked into Heritage Travel looking for advice about a holiday in South Africa. We met Michael who listened carefully to our interests and then he suggested a first draft for a truly wonderful experience. The first draft became our holiday. Michael chose warm, friendly and high end hotels. He suggested such a variety of places for us to visit as well as organising all the transfers and excursions. From the bustle of Cape Town, to the relaxing Hermanus, to the wine tasting in Franschhoek, the truly amazing visit to the game reserve and then a poignant and enlightening day in Johannesburg visiting Soweto. Flights were easy with Michael checking in for us and any questions we asked were answered promptly. Thank you Michael.

   I can’t rank Michael of Heritage Travel more highly. He arranged our three week trip to Mauritius and Sydney (which was very complicated due to my grandson joining us) exceptionally well. His resort/accommodation recommendations for both countries were superb and all the arrangements went smoothly. I really can’t recommend him mire highly. If you want a perfect holiday, superbly arranged, he’s your guy!

   We went to Vietnam for our honeymoon for 3 weeks. We came to Michael with a conundrum. We wanted to go somewhere exotic in June for our honeymoon but didn’t want to go anywhere in its monsoon season. He instantly suggested 3 amazing ideas including a central Vietnam tour that he knew was actually in its dry season when the rest of east Asia is in its wet due to the surrounding mountains! We effectively left the rest of the honeymoon plans to him and had an amazing time there. It was amazing to not have to worry about transport, cost, or having to plan/arrange anything ourselves while we were trying to enjoy ourselves. Would use Michael and Heritage Travel again.

   We were recommended Michael at Heritage Travel by friends of ours who had enjoyed a series of amazing holidays organised by him. It had been a long time since we’d been on holiday and didn’t really know what we wanted. After a meeting with Michael he put together a perfect holiday package for us to Mauritius. Along the way due to some issues with our original hotel, Michael got us an upgrade to an even better hotel which was a lovely surprise. We stayed in contact throughout the holiday (which was fabulous by the way) and Michael gave us the heads up that Emirates were offering amazing deals on upgrades for the flights home so we ended the most perfect holiday in some considerable style. Can’t wait for Michael’s suggestions for our next holiday!

   We have organised two holidays with Heritage. The first to Thailand was done at short notice when Covid 19 restrictions scuppered our original plans with another company. We sat in front of Michael gave him our dates and said “Where in the world…………..” Options were talked through, phone calls made to a man sat on a beach in Thailand and quickly the bones of a plan emerged. Later when Michael had completed his research we talked again and agreed the final itinerary. The result was a fantastic holiday touring the country, with different guides for the various regions all with incredible knowledge and enthusiasm. The attention to detail of the planning was excellent as was the variety of the places we visited. Having given Michael an insight into the things we like to do, he gave us the perfect vacation. Heritage Travel have always said that they have an extensive knowledge of holidays in Africa. Our second adventure was a safari and beach holiday in Tanzania and Zanzibar and again we were impressed by Michael’s knowledge of the different camps and their associated wildlife. Having agreed an outline itinerary very quickly, after a couple of iterations, due to one camp being booked up, we finalised the holiday. Once again excellent guides, precision organisation, and superb accommodation made for another unforgettable holiday. The safari was excellent and our week in Zanzibar was the perfect location to fully relax. They say that the devil is in the detail. With Heritage Travel they check all the details so that your holiday goes like clockwork. We will definitely be using their knowledge for our next adventure.

   We can't thank Michael enough. We have just returned from a 10-day trip to New York and it was perfect, thanks to him. He sorted all the holiday and researched extensively to find us the perfect hotel suite for my family (with kitchen and in a quiet area near Central Park). The area felt really safe and calm with wide, leafy streets near to the Natural History Museum and with lots of supermarkets and delis nearby. The subway was a minute away, so it was really quick to get into the heart of everything. I feel that we wouldn't have been able to find or choose this hotel by ourselves as we had zero knowledge of New York. If the hotel and area had been wrong in anyway, it would have impacted our holiday. Thank you so much, Michael; your knowledge was worth its weight in gold!

   Had the pleasure of being able to visit Heritage collection travel yesterday. The location is in the heart of beautiful York and the whole experience was like nothing I had ever experienced before. You walk in and are immersed into a multi sensory experience that just creates a new and innovative way to book a holiday or trip. I was impressed by Michaels knowledge and professionalism and he went out of his way to make our experience care free and enjoyable. Lana also was a bubbly welcoming edition to his team and was just lovely. It is so nice to see a great independent business doing so well and offering something new to a rather dated market.

   I can not recommend Heritage Collection Travel highly enough. We dealt with Michael who we found to be very knowledgeable and passionate about travel. He arranged an unforgettable trip to lapland for our family. We could not have done it cheaper ourselves and he took all the hassle out of the arrangements. We are definitely booking through them again.
