   How disgusting how they treated swimmers today. I was a by-stander to support the swimmers but it felt a very clicky group and looked after their own members. I felt sorry for those swimmers who were doing it for their own personal achievements. Also why did they shut the course to some swimmers telling them to get out and letting others carry on( must of been their club swimmers)Not fair at all. I would not recommend this club at all. No support whatsoever so ever for individual swimmers. Appalling. I was embarrassed and so upset for those swimmers who weren’t in the so called click. It’s supposed to be a supportive sport.

   I’ve coming here for about four years now, and I love the place. The organisation, people taking part. Friendly and willing to help with any questions that you may have!!! David and Karen and the rest of the team are awesome imo!!

   Great open water spot in Salford Quays, it’s missing changing facilities, so seen a few too many builders bums for my liking. Bring a changing robe. The water is probably some of the cleanest around. Much nicer than Sale Water Park. Always plenty of helpful staff about and usually a few different options on distance. Standard Open Water rules apply, everyone swims anti clockwise and you need a brightly coloured swim cap. I would recommend mirrored goggles as there can be quite a glare on the water.

   Salford Dock Uswim. Brilliant first impression. Well organised, polite and helpful staff and spotters in boats and paddle boards watching over us all. Hot drinks and cake can be purchased too when you've finished your swim. £10 a swim payable in cash only.

   First time at open water swimming, was only there as a supporting role, but looked great especially whilst the sun was out. Convenient parking nearby and lots of places to eat and drink at the Lowry.

   It's a lovely place to swim, usually three different distance routes. The staff are very kind and helpful. Cheap to swim and you can rent all of the gear you need. I go weekly with a few work colleagues. People of all ages come, from children learning how to swim in the open water to women with many decades of life experience swimming butterfly for 5km. If you are umming and ahhing about going, I recommend just giving it a shot. I love it!
