Room was nice, however no plug sockets by the bed was very annoying. Also, the kettle and coffee/tea was hidden in one of the wardrobes ( which I did not use) so I assumed there wasn’t any. Breakfast in the morning wasn’t great either. I ordered the full English & it was pretty poor, bacon wasn’t cooked enough, one saussage & egg, one tiny hash brown- no beans! When my plate arrived I asked for toast ( which I thought would come with it ) & some ketchup. The ketchup came 10 minutes later and the toast around 15/20 mins later ( I had finished my breakfast by this point). Considering there was only one other couple in the breakfast area and 3 members of staff, I would expect better. On a more positive note the bed itself was very comfy, and when the curtains were drawn it was nice and dark so I did get a good sleep. Overall decent hotel but won’t be rushing to go back.

We booked a 2 night stay the 1st night was awfull very little sleep (we think this was down to other inconsiderate guests not the hotel) we spoke with Dean in the morning, he was brilliant very appollogetic & within 30 mins he had sorted out a move to another room. Great customer service from Dean. 2nd night was great no issues nice meal in the restaurant whose staff were very helpfull. Overall we really enjoyed our stay & will definatly visit again. Sorry to have to knock 1 star off for the 1st night.

We booked for afternoon tea which was lovely and we really enjoyed it. The ABode was also very accommodating with the time we were wanting to book and allowed us to book our afternoon tea earlier than normally available. The staff where helpful and polite. While there it was extremely quite with no other tables booked in which gave a cold atmosphere unfortunately. The views out of the restaurant though are fantastic and you can see for miles. One issue we had that could be fixed is making payment by card and apple pay was challenging. This was due the lack of a sufficient WiFi signal for the terminal to work.

I stayed at ABode Chester recently and had a mixed experience. The receptionist was so kind and helpful, and the 5th floor restaurant has a stunning view with absolutely delicious food. A big thanks to Budi at the bar he was always smiling, very helpful, and gave us great recommendations on desserts and cocktails. The Espresso Martini was amazing! Unfortunately, the rooms were disappointing, with stains and even hair on the bed, which really let the stay down. Overall, fantastic staff and dining, but the rooms need serious improvement.

Absolute brilliant spot to stop off at for the night, or however long you’re in Chester for. Even if you’re from Chester and looking for some down time I would highly recommend this place. It’s positioned in the most convenient spot, with a great rooms, a great restaurant and great staff. Me and my partner enjoyed our stay here very much. Thank you guys!

Lovely hotel, wine £33 a bottle - really expensive - bar staff friendly - but made us feel really uncomfortable when the bar closed. Felt as though we were in their way, as they wanted to clear up. Maybe they should have mentioned something about us being in the bar, before we bought the wine.

Enjoyed our stay, hotel clean, tidy and comfortable, staff helpful. Great location - easy walk into the centre. If I'm being picky- drinks are a bit pricey. Would stay again.

Staff can make or break a reputation. What should have been a solid stay was as positive as breaking a tooth on Christmas eve at 7pm. The room was ridiculously cold. Apparently the "master switch" should have been turned on". It was not. If you like a soft bed, then you will love this! Breakfast service was seriously disappointing and slow, if it was space travel we would still be waiting to see the first person on the moon! Food was good though. Read previous comments about parking. Good location for the centre.

Room could of done with a slight update/tidy in the bathroom. But apart from that it's good. Great views over Chester Racecourse. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. Great cocktails at bar for the evening.
