A shop full of amazing items and very reasonable prices. A gret range of fruit and veg which is always fresh. Shelves are very well stocked with everyday items as well as a range of treat yourself items. Staff are very friendly and efficient. A great place to shop
This shop and the owners are great, it’s so bright and full of nice products. When they took over they really took the time to ask if there was anything particular you would like them to stock and are always up for a chat. Although I don’t buy lots in there, I use the Evri drop off/pickup service sometimes and pickup some favourite weekend treats. It’s nice to see a young family starting their business journey and creating a home there. I hope they can make a success of it because they deserve to, with all the hard work they’ve put in, and the changes they’ve made. :)
I really appreciate having great local shops. I'd like to thank Jana at Horsley Village Stores for the great service he offers. Whenever I run events, I always go to him for the wide range of interesting biscuits he has (-the Border ones always go down well-) and for the chocolate treats which I buy for the speakers and venue staff. The special cakes are delicious, and we get a lemon one pretty much every week. The fruit is always tasty and I like the selection of cheeses he has. He is very responsive to customer requests, from making sure he has the cat food flavour our fussy cats prefer (-perhaps I should not tell you the flavour in case he gets a run on them ...!), to deciding to stock the 'Cook' brand foods following Budgens' closure. We always get our paper and Radio Times there too. Above all, he is always up for a friendly chat, and a special bonus is when we get to say hello to his lovely family as well. Thank you, Jana!
Lovely new owners, welcoming and really working with what the community wants! this shop always has those special little extra things you cant get easily elsewhere locally! They do a fantastic service with the elderly and less able folk in the village which is SO appreciated. They also are an Evri collection and delivery point. Fully recommend!

Well, this is awkward but I get fantastic service here, unfortunately for my flatmate who is of Asian heritage, its the opposite. He was constantly told he 'smelt funny' by the chap behind the counter and then asked rude questions like 'we dont do benefits here' or 'only English food sold here' etc I ended up doing all his shopping and Hermes parcels for him to save the aggro. Shocked that places like this still exist in 21st Century UK.
