It is large but has limited food variety. The sauce section is small. The wine and beer section is diverse, and the prices are reasonable.

Went down for the Disney range for my little girl, moment was ruined when the lady working on the tills her name begins with an R riwana or something came screaming at me accusing me of not paying for a bag until she checked my receipt and saw that I did. She was very rude and left my children age 2 and 4 crying and terrified. I don’t shop in aldi but this was a horrible experience especially for my first time shopping

Me and my mum went shopping at Aldi Watford around 9pm on 18/10/2025. Since no regular tills were open, I had to use the self-checkout with a full trolley of groceries (over £100 worth). My mum was checking out separately with just a few items. As she finished paying and came over to my trolley, she accidentally dropped one of her paid items into my trolley. I immediately picked it up and handed it back to her, so she could put it in carrier bag before continuing to scan my own items. The self-checkout assistant came over, questioned whether everything had been paid for, and my mum showed her the receipt. The assistant didn’t say anything further, so we assumed everything was fine. However, as we were leaving, a security officer stopped us and accused me of not paying for that item that fell in to my trolley. He even showed me the footage, which showed me handing it back to my mum and her putting it into a carrier bag. I was shocked and embarrassed. I had to take things out of my bags right there in front of everyone to prove nothing was stolen. If the security officer had checked the footage properly - even 10 seconds earlier - he would’ve seen that my mum had paid for it. Instead, we were left feeling humiliated over something that wasn’t even our fault, for £6.99 item… I completely understand and appreciate that the staff and security have a job to do, but they should make sure to do it properly - by reviewing the footage in full detail before making any accusations. Mistakes like this can be really upsetting for honest customers. What makes it even worse is that we’ve seen people literally eating sweets in-store and leaving empty wrappers around that same evening, walking out without anyone questioning them. Yet honest customers like us get treated like thieves. Really disappointed with how poorly this situation was handled. The staff need better training in communication, observation, and professionalism.

Great prices for same quality as other supermarkets. Wide range of products. Only hair conditioner not hair masks.

I’d like to leave very positive feedback for Ricky at Aldi Watford. He’s an amazing member of staff - always cheerful, helpful and genuinely uplifting. Every time I see him, he makes my store experience positive and enjoyable. I strongly encourage his managers to recognise his efforts and consider him for a decent raise, as he consistently goes above and beyond. It’s 4 stars, not 5, only because the store sometimes has empty aisles and there’s a very limited choice of kefir. If stock levels and kefir variety improve, this would be an easy 5-star experience.

A great location with lots of other stores in close proximity. On my most recent visit there was plenty of stock and the prices for many of my usual purchases had not changed so that was nice.

Great staff - efficient at getting people served. Always tills open rather than having to self serve. Good range of foods.

By far the nicest Aldi location I’ve been to. Very clean, and staff were extremely nice and helpful! The aisles are wide and all products were fresh and nicely packed and well stocked! Also I’m finding them to be the cheapest and best quality right now!

Compact size compared to some of the bigger Watford supermarkets, lots of food. Wide aisles compared to other aldi. Friendly and helpful security. Well located and lots of parking.
