Nice clean store with wide aisles, good selection of food, friendly checkout staff……but please sort out the levels of customer support on the tills! One member of staff on self service and another on the tills is just not enough during busy periods.

I already think this Sainsbury’s has a real problem with customer service although today I had a really rude encounter with a gentleman working on self service. Today at 3pm 30/10/25 Went in to do a big shop spent near to £200 and used one of the scan as you go handsets. When we went to pay our till was playing up quite a bit it kept calling someone over to help although we didn’t need any help. We suggested moving over to the next till as it was playing up and he abruptly said no there’s nothing wrong? Ok interesting. I purchased 5 bags when we were packing and the man on the self service asked us if we wanted a receipt we said no he then proceeded to print it off anyways and look through it infront of us. It was pretty humiliating we felt as if we had done something wrong? This can’t be normal procedure to look through every receipt during a busy period right? When I asked him what are you doing he then told me he’s making sure I bought the bags. The bags that equated to £1.50 bear in mind that I’ve just spent quite a bit of money on a shop. I think it’s pretty disrespectful to look through all the items we bought to see if I got a couple bags what a jobsworth. We ended up ignoring his passive aggressive attitude but I do think this gentleman would be better suited as a doctors surgery receptionist with his stinking attitude.

I am writing to formally raise a serious complaint regarding the extremely poor behaviour and lack of professionalism displayed by a member of your security staff at your store on 20th September at approximately 8 PM. I do not usually shop at this branch, as we are regular Hatch End Morrisons customers at our local store. However, during this visit I was appalled by the behaviour of the security guard, who was shockingly rude, sarcastic, and completely lacking in basic customer service manners. After scanning several items at the self-checkout some of which I purchased and some I did not I proceeded to finish my shopping. My sister was also paying for items separately. I had instructed her to add a 30p bag to the transaction, which she didnt as she misheard but due to scanning multiple items and the lack of staff at the tills(no staff members on tills). As I exited the store, I was suddenly confronted by the security guard whos of Indian decent who walked towards us and said in an unprofessional and sarcastic manner. He asked, “How much did you pay for your shopping?” When I replied with the amount, he then said in a condescending tone, “30p isn’t that much.” Only at that point did I realise the bag had not been included in the final transaction. I immediately went to customer services and paid for the 30p bag, which was never an issue for me in the first place. What is deeply upsetting and unacceptable is the way I was treated, I felt targeted, humiliated, and mocked in front of others. The guard’s tone and approach were deliberately disrespectful, rather than simply and politely informing me that the bag had not been paid for. A professional staff member could have easily resolved the situation with courtesy and respect, but instead this was handled in a way that left me shocked and embarrassed. From the reviews on here, I understand that this is not the first complaint raised about this security staff member. This makes the matter even more concerning and suggests a pattern of unprofessional conduct. I am extremely disappointed by this experience. As a loyal Morrisons customer, I expect much higher standards of behaviour from your staff, particularly those in visible, customer facing roles such as security. This incident must be investigated immediately and appropriate action taken against the individual in question. A warning and retraining should be issued at the very least. I look forward to a prompt response and confirmation that this matter is being taken seriously.

I love my local Sainsbury's in Pinner but if you want fresh produce in fruits or vegetables never shop for those on Monday. Most of fresh deliveries are happening on Tuesday...

My local superstore Sainsbury’s and always have great items on the shelves. Really clean throughout and helpful staff. They’ve introduced the SmartShop app which is available in this store and it’s quick to do your shopping and checkout quickly.
