   Google maps led me to believe that Budgens tops up pay as you go British Gas payment cards! Thank you so much Google! That's twenty minutes I'll never get back! A separate issue concerning Budgens and covid 19. Yes there are screens, but I've seen it in most shops that, wherever possible, payment by card is preferred! As previously stated, that's twenty minutes I'll never get back! They probably take cash only because of fraud with debit and credit cards. I was prepared to pay in cash because there is a atm machine a couple of shops down from Budgens on the same side of the road

   I 'never' want to go to this shop again and would actually go without rather than go there again. The people in there are sooo rude and pretend they don't know what you are saying. They also have given me false information on goods that I needed. I lost just over a tenner on an item which I asked them to check was the right one (a USB cable) and they gave me the wrong one then refused to refund me because the box was open. They opened it and said it was the right one so they also lied to me. If they don't like you then they will not help you with anything that you need help with and I can honestly say that their people skills and communication are atrocious and need addressing urgently. I'm surprised that nobody has reported how rude and ignorant these people actually are

   Always close before 11 10.30 at best. As a regular customer who spends over 150 pounds a week there.not helpful when you need calpol for A child at all.

   Extremely rude staff, especially the older guy who works night shifts, didn’t accept my ID (citizen card) although all the other corner shops accept it, at first tried to make my friend pay although it was obvious one of the drinks were for me. Let me pay eventually after arguing. Constantly change prices and overcharge that my friend and I had to physically show the staff from the till the actual price. Useless service, don’t recommend.

   AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID Named brands overpriced, more expensive than M&S,and other stores. And other food on sale here is also overpriced and low quality too...yes it's a convenient store but mark up on products is ridiculous!!! Over £3.00 for a bottle of coke/pepsi, bacon more expensive than M&S ( and you only get 5 slices), £2.00 for a loaf of bread, I dont mind paying extra when the quality is good but really object to paying over the top prices for low quality food from a brand no one has heard of.. AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID Unless you have lots of money and don't care too much about quality

   Thieving and dishonest. Unfortunatelly closest shop to my flat. Today was probably 5th time they have asked me to pay an incorrect price. No surprise its always more than it should be. I avoid going there as much as I can. Do not use this store if you can. Be aware and check what you are paying if you have no other alternative.
