Long queues on self checkout, they never open manned tills. See photo. Extremely rude staff! No staffed tills open, when we reached the staffed till after queuing with kids, the staff member serving told us to go to self service counter as we had few items! Unbelievable rudeness and poor customer service.

I took back some rotten fruit and was made to feel humiliated and ashamed but the staff including the manager who do not know consumer rights . I chucked the fruit and swore but not before explaining myself and being hugely embarrassed at the till .The manager is very poor , has no communication skills and washed his hands of my problem being very dismissive telling me to shop elsewhere and he does not care if I go to trading standards . No accountability , totally blaming a regular customer who spends Β£200 a month in store . I am utterly disgusted and I do not feel bad about swearing . If you are disregarding consumer rights then what do you expect and all for about Β£1.50. Why would anyone drive 2 miles to return a pack of easy peelers ? Then be made to look like a fool at the till . Any surprise when the staff are not trained to know consumer rights . Had they requested I could have shown the proof of purchase on my bank statement which is adequate by law . The law says that you are entitled to a refund or replacement and you do not necessarily need a receipt . Had they asked I have checked my bank statement and I do have evidence of being in this lidl the day before . I shall now take legal action against the staff for distress and alarm caused . Watch this space now . You have not heard the last of this

Lack of stock, rude staff ( not all, as there as some very pleasant staff ) special offers that are never in stock and then turn up after the offer ends. Cages blocking aisles with no one with them. Outside door/windows filthy. It is a shame that the South Oxhey is so bad, because all the other Lidl that I've been in are brilliant. I'm 65, disabled and walk with a crutch, but when I have a trolley of items there is never any manned tills open. If I wasn't disabled and old I would never shop in that branch. The only time that the store is good is when they have a regional visit, but as these are planned ahead it gives the store time to get things right. Manned tills open, no cages blocking aisles, a good clean and full shelves.

"Lidl offers affordable groceries with a wide selection. Fresh produce and bakery items are highlights. Limited brand variety. Overall, great value for budget shoppers."

Full of chavs, with less variety and higher prices than the Watford central branch, considering that it's situated in a low income area. Staff range from mildly pleasant to rude and brash. The undercover parking is cramped, with concrete pillars infringing on each parking bay, making it difficult to exit your vehicle once parked. Also, there is no cellular signal in the undercover parking and inside the store, the signal is weak. Would not recommend, unless you're desperate for a few odds n ends.

Big store with good choice of both grocery and bakery items. Ideal location from carpenter’s Park station. Prices at Lidl have always been very reasonable when compared to other supermarkets

Parking on Oxhey Drive with a few spaces at the front. Reasonable size, quite light and airy. Typical Lidl stock, often only auto tills although they will open a checkout if needed. Disappointed with the lack of additional Ales though, still have to go to Watford.

I'm happy to have Lidl, just a stone throw away from home. Finally, we could save up. Lots of fresh produce and products are neatly arranged. I just wish it could open until 11 pm.

Lovely new store. Shelves full of some known brands alongside some foreign brands. Prices are really cheap and great value for money. Instore bakery is really well stocked and has little veg pizzas which tasted really lovely. Easy to navigate around the store. Pushchair friendly. Clear signs for all the aisles. Not a big range of bread when I visited but the prices are really good. Less than 50p for a large loaf. Will buy one to try next time I’m there. They have loads of tills but only one or two open. I used the self check out which was really easy. Will visiting a few times a week I think to get some fantastic bargains. Not a lot of veg options in the freezer section. Only one type of veg burger that I don’t like. Loads of ice creams and desserts. The entrance is down the side and there is parking available in an underground car park. 55 spaces I think.
