Don’t try to drop off your parcel at this store if you have large parcel. The store is listed as a drop off/pick up location for DPD, with 2D label printing service, however, I was denied the said service with excuses of “we only do pick up for DPD/we don’t have facilities for printing labels for DPD.” I had a medium-large parcel that needs to be returned (it can still fit inside an Aldi shopping bag). As I walked in and queued, the store owner/staff was very nice to the customer in front of the counter and he handed her a label to be stuck to her soft parcel while he went on to serve another customer in the queue. When it was my turn, his face dropped as he saw my parcel and claimed the store doesn’t have facilities to print labels (I literally saw him handing one to a customer before me), then he said they don’t provide label printing service for dpd specifically, and I had to do it myself at home. I was puzzled and went outside the store. I went on my phone to double check on dpd’s pick up service finder, I did set the right filter looking for label printing service point. So I went back again, I politely asked” Hi sir, I’m not trying to look for trouble, but can you confirm this is your store’s address and name on the dpd website?” he confirmed and argued again that he only provided pick up service but not drop off, and just really want to shoo me off his store. I suggested to him, if he isn’t providing label printing service then he needs to update the information but he just kept trying to shoo me off with “I’m sorry dear, we don’t do drop off service”. I can appreciate this is a Saturday afternoon, and the corner store has a relatively small register counter, and that a large parcel might take up valuable space of storing other drop-off/pickup parcels til it can be picked up by courier service. But being straight up lied to, having facts twisted up right in my face feels really bad and his manner while polite was dismissive. I don’t know if it’s because I’m East asian, or that I’m not a regular or my parcel is too big, and I don’t think I’ll ever or would I be bothered to find out. If he had been honest and tell me his store’s parcel quota is full/ or my parcel is too large, I would’ve walked away understandably with no hard feelings, but he made up blatant excuses, pretty much gaslit me just to deter me from his store. From other reviews here, I can see he is well loved by regulars, and the refusal of dpd parcel drop off is a recurring issue. This is such an unfortunate incident that I wish it went differently.

The man who runs the local off-licence is genuinely one of the kindest and most helpful people in the area. Every time I go in, he greets customers with a smile and treats everyone with respect, no matter how busy he is. He remembers regular customers, often asks how your day has been, and even makes small talk that feels friendly but never forced. He’s also really helpful, On top of that, he keeps the shop clean, well-stocked, and open late, which shows he cares about the community. His positive attitude makes the off-licence feel more than just a shop.

Avoid this shop if you don't want to be ganged up on by a load of individuals who speak English but don't understand when you're speaking and want to lie about how they treat people. Very ignorant, aggressive, rude and dismissive. There is no customer care and they're just happy to grab your money with no manners and respect. Very finger happy going by the responses from them. Any response you give here will not be taken on board because you do not treat people well and trading standards will be informed .

Never have I been treated worst by any customer service. I want to give more than one star, but honestly cannot find a reason to. I used to think that cashier is just having a bad day. But he is just mean. Throwing a receipt to me when my hands are already reaching for it. Always full of hate for no reason. Hoping Yodel would switch to another shops because all the other guys on the same street are so much nicer and friendlier! Will do everything to avoid coming back.

Disgraceful customer service. My daughter went to buy some milk. And the man serving her charged her 10p for a bag. She didn't have enough so he made her walk out with a no bag. Not happy at all. Me my friends and the who family will NOT go back into this shop!!!

This is the closest shop to me where I can post my used Nespresso coffee capsules. It's a short walk away so that is very convenient. Also, the guy who owns the shop is very helpful and is always very jolly whenever I've been here.
