The service is beyond shocking. I was assaulted in this store and the shop assistants were looking on while the guy was having a mental episode next to me. They did not even have the courtesy to offer to help me get up from where I fell or apologize. Security was nowhere to be seen on this occasion but they do regularly harass female customers when they are around. The complete lack empathy on the part of the staff was shocking. The shop is across the street from where I live and very convenient but I feel unsafe to return.

Used it today and found it great. Bought a bottle of pop that wasn’t in the meal deal Jagdish changed it and helped with the refund. Very polite and helpful staff member.

I'm surprised to see so many negative reviews for this Co-op. I've been a regular customer since it opened, and since I live nearby, it's my go-to store. Personally, I've never had any issues with the staff—they’ve always been helpful and courteous. Given that it’s a small store, there are usually only 2 or 3 staff members working, but they manage it well. In terms of products, the store carries the basics like crisps, tea, coffee, chocolate, and pantry items. They have a single large freezer stocked with essentials like frozen pizza, chips, and ice cream. My only gripe is that an entire aisle is dedicated to alcohol, which might be a reflection of its importance to their sales. They also offer a small selection of household items, fresh produce, and refrigerated food. All in all, it's a decent neighborhood store, especially if you live close by and need to pick up a few essentials.

The staff here only seem to be worried about stacking shelves. Customer service is non-existent. There is hardly ever anyone near the checkout area and if you don't hunt them down from somewhere on the shop floor then you don't get served. When you find a staff member their expressions make it clear how annoyed they are at being interrupted. I don't think I have ever heard them utter a word. Update: they still haven't changed. It has just got worse. They now seem to be focused mainly on shoplifting: treating everyone as a potential thief. I got stalked by the security guard, no bags at the self check-out. Irony is, when the security guard isn't there, it would be super easy to steal since none of the staff pay any attention.

I was offered an interview here which I was trying to reschedule because I already had another appointment which was on the day of the interview. I contacted the colleague resourcing team who said that they will contact the hiring manager who will get in touch with me directly. I was never contacted by the hiring manager so I sent another email to the colleague resource team who said they had not been notified by the hiring manager. Today I received an email saying I did not attend the interview and therefore unsuccessful for the job. But none of this was my fault as I made many attempts to try and reschedule my interview. This just shows poor communication from this company. Not good enough!

I used to enjoy going here, but now: the newer staff let this place down SO much. Morning staff are great, but the main people in the afternoons and evenings are so rude. Very bad attitude when you want to go and pay cash at the till. Demeanor is the opposite of what customer service is about. BTW there's a new Co-op opened in Lakeside Drive, about a five minute walk from the location. I'll be going there now - or even to Asda.

Everything about this store is great.

Bread rolls are never ready on time at 7am when the store opens. If you offer freshly baked bread it should be made for the store opening. Many customers waiting.
