Rihanna at the cheese shop was extremely helpful in helping select some beautifully amazing cheese. Polite, cheerful, knowledgeable without being pushy.

One of the worst Sainsburyβs stores I have ever visited. The shelves are always a mess with empty boxes and packaging left behind, boxes and trolleys blocking the aisles and terrible tills - the last couple of times, one till had been manned even though the store is so busy. As the woman in front of me pointed out most recently βit takes longer to pay in this shop than it does to do the actual shopβ Going forward, I will be driving the extra few miles to the Sainsburyβs in Tunbridge Wells. This store is best avoided.

Its the same as everything, just slightly worse. There's times I will walk or drive out further just to avoid this place. Cues are terrible with no co-ordination from staff to eachother. Goodluck finding the working toilet, and don't bother trying to get hired, because I doubt the staff toilets even work.

As a Sainsburys goes this is a little disappointing, probably because there's no real rival. Often empty selves or sold out of products, dates on fresh food never great. With Waitrose cornering the top end of the market and the soon to be opened Aldi taking the bottom Sainsbury's will need to up their game. Aug 2022 update, this has improved, better product ranges and stock levels better, scan and go okay but often there is only one member of staff covering 12+ self scan tills. April 2024 update, Sainsbury's has made an effort to improve price matches with the likes of Aldi; however, this is only if you use their Nectar card, i.e. lots of Β£13 without Nectar card, Β£9.99 with Nectar card. Sometimes the deals are worth it but most times price without Nectar is inflated. Now copying Tesco's outrageous pricing model 2025 Update: expansion and remodeling is still in the planning stages, it needs a refurb. Always disappointing to see their security staff outside vaping and on their phones, luckily for Sainsbury's most people are honest and there's not much need for them. Like most stores these days, self scan, whether hand-held or scan at the til, has increased but having enough staff to deal with the "verification needed" times is key. Waited too long, no one around!

Decent place for shopping, few staff are really helpful! But Donβt go here after 8:00PM, employees will become zombies dragging that heavy carts here and there like mad people( I know itβs their work but their attitude will definitely scare you) people will think they are running mad to escape from a stampede or gunshot and they are often mindless about customers. There are some sweet employees too but come on, sour always dominate sweetness

Very messy shelves, lots of items not even removed from the bulk packaging; often seeing customers tearing into them like Scrat is scraping for acorns. Probably the most inefficient self checkout around: there's always a long queue here and it moves very slowly. There's only one employee to help here and the "smart" checkout the same time - I wouldn't even bother with this one, seems to be more trouble than it's worth. You would think it's cheaper to shop here in return but it doesn't seem to be the case

Really helpful staff, it's just a shame that you only get the offers when scanning your own shopping with the device. You have to weigh your own fresh produce and print your own barcode label to scan regardless, and no produce bags - you are expected to purchase a mesh one or somehow know to bring your own - or pay extra for the pre-bagged ones. Some items clearly having distribution issues sadly; but overall managed to get almost everything I needed - with some substitution. Great help on the checkout section with the scanner though, as vouchers all need separately validating and you can only pay by card, no option for paying cash to help with budgeting.

It's a decently stocked Sainsbury's, conveniently located and has the bonus of an Argos as well. It's walking distance to the main high street. You have to pay for the car park, which is a pain, but it isn't exorbitant and as it's so close to the town centre it's actually quite handy.

If I could give zero stars I would. Absolutely disgusting service. Visited the store this evening with my son for some shopping to include alcohol. Had to separate my shop as I needed separate receipts. When I tried to pay for my drink I got accused of buying for a minor. I then had to deal with an advisor who felt the need to start an argument and a till operator who felt the need to keep laughing. I was firstly refused my request to speak to a manager and when one arrived she came mob handed with 3 other members of staff. I was belittled and spoken over by all 5 members of staff in front of other shoppers and my son and flatly refused my purchase. When I asked for names and positions so I could lodge a complaint this was also refused. The purchase was again refused unless I provided valid ID for myself and my underaged son!!!! I appreciate there is a Think 25 policy but I'm 50 years old for pity sake.
