The smell of body odour seems to have gone from this place. The staff here are pleasant and the the service is usually on point. As with all fuel stations, store prices are very high compared to other places. £40 for 10ltr AdBlu when only £8.99 in your giant, friendly, Croydon based membership shop.
Does the job. Limited stock, especially fresh stuff, but that is expected. Some items seem to be pricier than your regular Waitrose - but useful stop gap if you are out a bit later than usual.
Great Initiative, Needs Smoother Collection Process I recently visited this Shell location to collect a Too Good To Go (TGTG) surprise bag. I love that Shell is participating in this initiative to reduce waste, it's a fantastic commitment to sustainability. However, the collection process itself was a bit strained and could use refinement. Despite arriving during the designated window and being ready, I found myself waiting for a considerable amount of time behind customers purchasing regular items. This made the TGTG collection feel like a lower priority, and streamlining this handoff would significantly improve the experience. There was also a small, awkward delay when collecting the bag due to confusion over the payment confirmation, which required staff to check the app after I presented it. A clearer, faster protocol for confirming TGTG pickups could help staff manage these collections more efficiently. The staff were generally polite and courteous throughout, but the overall service experience felt disorganised, which added unnecessary friction to the collection. A bit more training on prioritising and preparing these pre-paid TGTG collections would turn this into a five-star experience!
