I am very happy with my local Lidl. Staff are friendly and helpful. The shop is clean. The only thing is that if I do my shopping early there is no cashier opened, you have to go through self serve, unless I call someone, they will be happy to open one.

I had a very bad experience today. I bought a pack of pink lady apples and was wrongly charged for £1.99 instead of the Lidl plus price of £1.79. I told your collegue about it and showed her a photo of the price tag and receipt. Without any eye contact, she asked me to go to the till as she couldn’t do any refund at the self-check out kiosk. All the tills were busy so I asked if I could get the refund next time. She said “I’m not sure, I can’t do anything here, you have to do to the till…”. Luckily, the manager was here and asked her to do the refund at the self-check out counter for me. When doing the refund, she kept on saying “I don’t know a refund can be done here….” and refunded the full amount to me instead of just the overcharged. So I had to buy it again and as expected, I was charged £1.99 again!! Then I asked her and she just said it’s not the right pack and I had to get another pack. I said I don’t understand as the codes on the price tag (see photo) and the receipt (see photo) match and obviously it’s your system problem. She then just asked me to go to the till. I gave up and left your store. You team is always helpful but not this lady. I think she needs intensive training on both her attitude and cashier system. Thank you.

AVC TECH LTD ★☆☆☆☆
I just had one of the worst self-checkout experiences today. While it’s been smooth for the last couple of months, the recent updates have turned everything into chaos. Even my kids noticed unscanned items, which is laughable. I truly feel for the customer assistant who had to intervene for nearly every item. They mentioned it’s due to the new AI self-checkout rollout, but this update is frustrating and has created a completely unpleasant experience. This needs to be addressed immediately.

Lidl is known for having low quality brand, food. With such huge space I'd rather prefer having a Sainsbury's or a Waitrose

Always good. Every week a different selection of foods from different countries, a good way to get to know what and how other people around the world eat. The shop was clean and there were lots of staff members around. I think the process have gone up a little, but still very affordable store to shop in.

Nice shop with plenty of parking. Only one till open apart from the self serve tills so people were queuing through the shop to pay

Best Lidl store we have been to. Spacious and well stocked. Great under cover parking with more than usual disabled spaces. Julie checking out...fab customer service.

The most convenient and cheapest place to shop for New Mill Quarter Residents. A small Sainsburys is round the corner, but this has everything you will need including lots of home products; its big ! I've noticed prices steeping up a little bit. Lots of self service counters and staff have always been friendly.
