This has got to be the worst store I have personally ever been to. The staff have been extremely rude every time I have been there! On top of that, they have the worst prices you can get, and the store shuts earlier than stated. I would recommend going to the other store up the hill instead!
The layout is cramped - not the staff's fault. Basic item such as fresh meat are not regularly re-stocked and are often absent There is nothing distinctive or unusual or about the food offer, or anything that says ‘come into this store’ and very rarely is there someone on the till who bothers to smile or who portrays the faintest flicker of interest or intelligence. The worst thing is the shop is expensive - 25-30% dearer than Aldi. The Co-op is a ghost brand - this one particularly. What is it for for? It's shame. I thought that the re-fit would improve the shop but it hasn't - it just made it made the aisles narrower
On more than one occassion i have ordered from here on uber eats and had missing items. The first couple of times i left it as mistakes can be made. The second to last time it was more than one item so i called the store and they were hesitant to help but said we can come in the next day to collect the items. The last time on the 26th January 2025 a whole 9 pack of toilet rolls was not delivered. I called the store multiple times but they refused to answer so the next day i went to the store to explain what happened once again and i was dealt with very rudely and dismissively being told to sort it out with uber or the driver as some of the drivers steal items! I explained that i went through the process with uber each time this has happened but their policy doesnt do anything for missing items anymore. So because of no help i have paid £4.75 for toilet roll but do not have it! This review is just to let people know that if you order anything from this co-op to be delivered and you have missing items, they will not help you and make you feel like you are just trying to get a free item from them! To the staff at this store, we all are not thieves or dodgy people trying to get freebies so please dont treat everyone as such! I hope co-op add my £4.75 to the billions they already have and also make a profit on the toilet roll that i didnt receive or get back which is probably still in the store and just wasnt packed to be delivered. Many thanks co-op forest hill road, you really know how to help your customers! Just remember any loss that you think the store will take doesnt come out of your personal pocket so stop acting like you own the store and its profits when customers genuinely need your help.
I have avoided this shop for many years because of the attitude of the staff only going there when I have absolutely no other option. I went in recently to collect an Amazon parcel, even this simple task caused problems. Staff are consistent in that they never fail to be rude.
Pricey, cramped, doesn’t have a good range of products. The fruit, veg and herbs is often poor quality/going off already (e.g this was the only basil they had).
Basic supermarket. Some of the staff are fantastic but others could learn basic customer service skills.
A bit hit and miss in terms in terms of stock. Quite often out of fresh produce.
Can be a little costly on certain items. More of a convince store, would do my weekly shop.
Superb local shop with a great selection of vegetables and all the basics. Very friendly and helpful staff. A much nicer experience than Sainsbury's!
