   Superdrug Pharmacy Merrion centre Leeds - unprofessional and incompetent employees - got the text alert last week saying my prescription is ready to pick up, made time during the working day at 3:15 pm only to be told by a rude and incompetent employee that Pharmacist is ‘entitled’ to be on lunch break and I should go after 40 mins. The dispenser also confirmed that medicine is ready to collect but she cannot handover medicine in the absence of the Pharmacist. The service is incredibly unprofessional. They also said they do not have a complaint procedure and then they gave a web portal address in which the web page never loaded. It’s appalling to see they turn down so many patients including old people because they are entitled to take a break of 45 minutes during the working hours. How is it possible that nobody manages this place? Disappointing, irresponsible and callous behaviour from employees. Train your staff or pull out of prescription dispensing services as you are not equipped with appropriate expertise.

   I went in to see if my medication was stocked which it wasn’t therefore, I was told it could be ordered in and collected before I ran out. When I went back in to collect it I was told it wasn’t put through. By this date I had run out and been to other pharmacies who told me they didn’t have it due to it being a long term stock issue. The service I received was incompetent and the two men who spoke to me were equally unhelpful in providing me with information.

   I had a very disappointing experience at this Superdrug. Earlier that day, I had a medical check-up where I was told my blood pressure was high—partly because I had forgotten to take my Ramipril. On my way home from Headingley, my taxi driver refused to take me all the way to Morley because of a Leeds United match, so I got off in the city centre and decided to stop by Superdrug to ask for my medication. I had with me a summary from my GP clearly stating that I take Ramipril. However, the staff treated me with suspicion and made me feel like I was asking for illegal substances rather than a common, prescribed blood pressure medication. I felt judged and extremely uncomfortable. If this is how they react to a simple request like this, I dread to think how someone with a more serious or urgent condition would be treated. This experience left me feeling upset and frustrated. Superdrug needs to do better in training their staff to be understanding, professional, and compassionate when dealing with people who are unwell and simply trying to take care of their health.
