staff are a bit slack, kept my prescription for over a month (me thinking the hospital hadn’t sent it through) i’d gone in checking for it every week, went in a couple days ago and they told me it had been here for 2 weeks and no one had come to get it ? feels like they have no idea what they’re doing

Unfortunately, I can only give 3 stars as it's such a mixed bag at this pharmacy. Some staff members are great, attentive, and excellent at making you feel welcome. Sadly, there are several staff that really don't do this at all, and leave a lasting impression when you require their help/services (I've had very similar experiences to other negative reviews here). I don't think it's fair to give the pharmacy 1 star, as those few good staff have been wonderful to me and deserve higher, but they are sadly in the minority at this pharmacy. And so, overall, the level of service is inconsistent at best, it's either excellent or terrible! Also, accessibility isn't great here, as the wait times can be long and there are only 2 chairs (but definitely space for more), so patients with mobility issues are made to stand unnecessarily.

Tried to get a doctors appointment, couldn’t, they advised me to go to see a pharmacist, after waiting 20 minutes to see her she advised me that the mediation I am on ‘should be ok’ but wouldn’t prescribe me anything else known to be safer and said I needed to see a doctor, but as previously stated I can’t get in to see the doctor. So now what?!

First time using this chemist since moving to the area and wow, I’ve never experienced anything like it. You walk in and you’re instantly hit with moodiness. No greeting such as ‘hello, sorry won’t be a second’ you just stand there ignored. Once you’re eventually called to the counter, there’s no please or thank you. The lady having multiple conversations whilst dealing with you. Pure rudeness. Tells you waiting time is 10 mins. I was stood there 40 minutes with a baby in my arms and they finally come to tell me 1/3 creams were unavailable but other 2 are ready in 2 mins. Waited another 12 mins until I had enough and said I’ll get them tomorrow. Whilst waiting you can see other members get treated the same and their frustration with the service. Staff members talking about a customer who they thought were gone but he was stood waiting and heard everything they said about him (which he made clear he heard them) Staff are unwelcoming, ignorant and rude. If they were open and honest about being short staffed and there’s a bit of a wait, you know what to expect and can come back to collect prescriptions.

Takes them 24+ times to answer the phone, staff are so rude and do the bare minimum to help you, chemist is located in the same building as the GP surgery, yet they never have the prescriptions that the GP have sent over and instead of walking 3 metres down the hall OR emailing eachother, they require the patient to call for a long code of numbers and letters from the GP to then call and repete it back to the chemist which is not an easy task. Absolute SHAMBLES, needs changing to a competent chemist.

Staff frequently take the phone off the hook, compromising patient safety, although they deny doing so. Reported to the GPhC as the superintendents office have not taken previous concerns seriously, thus leaving no alternative.

The worst pharmacy ever... always large queues which the staff cannot cope with.. long wait for medication even if no queues.... failed to let me know that they couldn't get hold of medication even though I had been in and told them it was urgent and was going to run out of particular medication... prescription had been with them for over a week. Told me they would call me if they couldn't get it.. finally rang me at 4 in the afternoon well over a week after I should have had the prescription, when it was too late for me to do anything about it.. this is just one thing from a long list of failures. I went in one Saturday morning at 9am only to be told they couldn't give prescriptions out as pharmacist was running late.. she was over half hour late which by this time there was a shop full of people..I was then given wrong form of medication tablets instead of melts but didn't realise until a week or so later... the floor in the shop looks like it's never been swept. They never answer the phone and literally cut you off after so many things..I have actually been in the shop and seen them ignore the phone when ringing so I know when I ring what they do.. it took me literally all day to finally get through yesterday... it seems understaffed and they cannot cope with customer flow... I can't remember a time when I have been in and been happy with the service and not heard numerous complaint.. you can guarantee people in the queue are complaining about the service every time.... please do not send me a standard reply as you have with all the other reviews... this shop needs attention and will lose customers if not sorted me being one of them it will mean a car journey to an alternative chemist but this is what I will have to do as no other option.

The worst pharmacy I've ever dealt with. The doctors surgery next I even told not to use this pharmacy because of the past. Never have items and tell you to come back the next day and then not have the prescription ready then you have to wait up to 30 minutes.

If i could give this pharmacy 0 stars i would. Absolutely horrific service. I received my prescription on Monday 17th October which was sent over electronically. Went in on the 18th to find the computers were down and my medication wasn’t there. I then went back on the 19th to find out where my medication was and the computers were STILL down and my medication wasn’t there. I called later that day to find out my items can’t be delivered there so i have to go to another pharmacy. I call another pharmacy today (20th) to order my medication to be told Rowlands still have my prescription and haven’t sent it back to “the spine/cloud” so the alternative pharmacy can’t get my medication in. I’ve just called Rowlands AGAIN to find out where my prescription is and yet again the computers are down. It is an absolute nightmare getting anything from this pharmacy, you are usually stood waiting around forever to be seen, and if i could give ANY advice it would be to go elsewhere. Shocking and disgusting service.

Never answer the phone. Say they hadn't received my prescription on a certain date but when you get medicines the labels are dated before they said they received them. If you have 2 prescription often you get one tell the driver then he has to come ask.
