   We're spoilt for choice around here. There's some better walks. But this is a lovely, slightly adventurous walk. Will also get you away from the crowds doing the surfaced walks in Etherow.

   This is a lovely walk following the track by the toilets ( currently shut) at the far end of Ethrow Country park however ( March 2021) this track is shut during the day for repairs hence this message! The track then becomes a track which eventually splits at the lake. However currently it's muddy heading in both directions & the small bridge over the stream has been removed, so you have to step down into the very shallow water to complete the circuit over this stretch. So wear the correct footwear & if fit and don't mind a bit of uneven ground it's a great extension when available around this area.

   A lovely place for a walk. Can get busy at weekends and when the sun is out but definitely worth a visit. There is ample parking, toilets and a cafe. There is also a little garden centre which also sells teas, coffees and ice creams. Beutiful country side right on our doorstep.
