Lovely place to wander round with kids or dogs. Plenty of water. Some wall climbers frequent the place. There's lots of interesting history to it and its only a shirt walk from the car park and main high street. Not good for wheelchairs or the infirm as it's a steep cobbly path and steps to it. Beautiful spot for a picnic though.

Am absolutely stunning riverside walk alongside the river goyt through the gorge. Industrial heritage everywhere , waterfalls , beautiful bridges , and a lovely bar/coffee stop. All in the heart of new mills. It's a real must see

A great little 'secret garden ' in a valley running between the old and New parts of New Mills. Enjoy drinks in the Torrside brewery with a waterfall view. Watch or join in with the freestyle climbing ( if you are brave and experienced). Have a picnic next to the ruins of an old mill. Or start and end one of the many circular walks from here.

A really great place for a walk especially with our dog. We tend to do the llama farm loop then back along the canal towpath towards Swizzles before heading towards the Rock Inn & down the path back to the riverside park. Other alternatives include keeping on the path past the llama farm to Cowgill farm then cross the road to the footpath under the railway line up to a bridleway which gives options to go to the road & down towards Hare and Hounds or carry on to Big Stone...(see photos)

It’s one of my favourite place and the best one to walk in autumn or summer. I can’t even take my eyes off from the eye catching views around. The Torrs Riverside Park is a place which surprise you by its impressive nature beauty. The post-industrial landscape mixed with the dramatic natural features makes the Park a must-see place. The Millennium Walkway is extra addition in the area to make it astonishing. This beautiful bridge is situated alongside of river and a huge wall which is another perfect place for photographers to get the best scenic views. Its one of the must visit place in New Mills.

What a lovely place for a walk. There’s a spot for some bouldering close to the hydro station, which in itself is a great thing to see. Further down stream you have the Millennium Walkway, which is also worth a visit whilst here

Relatively peaceful and interesting walk taking the Goyt valley circular tour and the Millennium Walkway. A great mix of nature and old industrial history and some fantastic bridges & viaducts.

Visited this gem of a place for a circular walk and will definitely visit again! Park at the end of the dead-end street (cash pay and display (£2.50 all day)) near the train station and across the way you will see a small path leading down towards the picturesque Millennium Way bridge, To the right is a dog friendly pub called The Shrub. Visited late afternoon and maybe walked past a total of 10 people which was great when wanting to take a few pictures. Interesting facts about this area which are worth looking up before visiting as well as the circular route (around 3.5 miles) that takes you past the marina.

Fairy decent loop to walk down the river bank, waterfall, rapids and nice scenic view. A fair amount of bridges too and history of what was once there. There's also a bar come cafe that serves the basics should you want a drink or snack. Ideal for all the family and ages too
