A great place for a walk , you can select 2 different walks either along the old railway track into higher poynton or along the canal into High Lane.

Jacksons Brickworks Local Nature Reserve is a short walk from Macclesfield Canal and Middlewood Way. The free car park has approx 40 spaces and closes at 5pm. The nature reserve a good place to go for a short walk.

Went right from the carpark for a cycle ride. Walked to the canal later Will visit again and cycle left. Love these old rail track rides. I'm very nervous on the roads so this is a fantastic alternative.

A bit underwhelming, but it was cold and about 4.15 pm. It could be much better in the summer. We heard lots of birds but could not see any

Lively walk around a nature reserve just off middlewood way. Parking is good too! You can also get to the canal and do a loop also.

As Nature Reserves go, it's underwhelming. I assume someone somewhere has made an assessment of its environmental value. I'm not sure what else you could do with the land. The free car park is useful (ignore the 5pm closing time) providing access to Macclesfield Canal and Middlewood Way.

First time visit to the lovely nature reserve. What a little hidden gem. The footpaths are brilliant as they are made from very small stones so are ideal for year round visits and enable the use of pushchairs and mobility scooters etc. The walk around the nature reserve is relatively flat and leads onto the middlewood way which is also flat making it ideal for wheelchair use. Points of interest have information signs showing different types of wildlife. There is also a small hide area overlooking a large pond out on a small jetty. We had a wonderful time walking our dog here as a family. The nature reserve and footpaths were very clean and tidy and the the area was very quiet and tranquil. Highly recommended

Really good place to visit with free parking. We took 2 children age 5 and 8 with bikes, spent time looking at the nature reserve then took a long ride along the old railway track. Very enjoyable visit and we plan to go back or to different sections of Middlewood Way.
