A great place to walk mainly on the flat, fantastic forest, and a river to boot

Nice for dogs and strolling around. Needs a cafe and public toilets

Lovely park that takes you through to the canal path! Took a beautiful walk from the park to Chadkirk chapel - gorgeous scenery along the way and stopped for icecream at the icecream van situated in the car park at Brabyns before heading home. Free car park. No toilet facilities at the park.

Great place to walk the dogs. River access for the dogs at the bottom of the park. Car park not huge but usually enough. Playground adjacent for kids.

Very nice open space, with huge fields for kids (or dogs) to run around in. Theres a small play park which the kids played on for a while. The car park is quite small but there's another over the road from the entrance. Didn't spot any toilets.

Large and nicely kept park. Not a large amount scenery-wise as it's mostly a large basin shaped area surrounded by trees. There's access to a river though and it's a nice wide section at the point you can be beside it. I'd say my personal favourite aspect is that it has access to a few separate areas as a whole that make it a nicer prospect.. The Marple canal system, The Etherow Country Park nearby and a few green, partly wooded walks leading from here. Just in case wide open green grassy parks aren't your fave.

lovely park to visit all year round, even better in autumn with the falling leaves

A beautiful park with riverside woodland walks and open spaces for children to run and dogs to play.

This is a great place to relax, walk, cycle or just enjoy the view. It's near the bus stops and to local shops if you don't want to walk or you want to grab a drink.
