A beautiful old park, part of which used to be Longford Hall. You can still see the remains of the hall but the park is now full of mature trees, walk ways and lovely little cafe.

Nice park with decent facilities. If you are a dog walker like me please don't play Jenga TAKE IT HOME if the bin is full.

An oasis of fun and peace within the hustle and bustle of Manchester City centre. Situated reasonably close to both old Trafford football and cricket grounds, this park can provide some nice respite from the heaving crowds on match day and associated hooliganism. The park is huge, and is equipped with a lovely cafe (see my previous review), childrenβs play areas, large fields appropriate for games and ball sports, tennis courts and a disc golf course (reviewed separately). The park is far quieter than nearby equivalents such as Platt Fields park, Manchester and Alexandra Park, Manchester. This makes is a great target for an afternoon of peace and quiet immersed in nature. The park has lots of little hidden gems, nice flower patches and architectural relics.

Longford Park is a great spot for a relaxed day out, especially if you're bringing a picnic or your dog. The picnic areas are well-maintained, with plenty of grassy spaces to spread out, and several benches and shaded spots that make it comfortable even on sunnier days. It's a peaceful environment, ideal for families or friends wanting a quiet afternoon outdoors. A standout feature is the cycling area, which includes a paid cycling course offering bikes for all abilities. There are standard bikes, children's bikes, adaptive cycles for people with disabilities, and trikes β making it inclusive and accessible for everyone, including young children and those with special needs. Itβs a great way to get active in a safe, supervised setting.

Two good parks. Lots of space to kick a ball about. Lovely gardens. Great cafe and regular ice cream van. Animal corner. Paths decent for biking or roller skating. Always a fun trip.

Really lovely park. I don't feel we saw half of it. The playgrounds are well looked after and plenty for children of all ages to do. The pets corner is really cute but it's a shame you can't stroke the goats. The gardens are beautiful and even the squirrels are really take and come close to you! We didn't use the cafe or toilet facilities this time but will do in the future.

Large but unkempt & uncared for park/space between Stretford & Chorlton. Mud & flooding everywhere, leaves unswept & slippery. Pity as there are several children's play areas & lots of space for sport, paths for walking with buggies & wheelchairs, parking, tea room. Not a welcoming space on a cold afternoon
