My daughter attended Playpals for 2 years. Playpals helped her gain her confidence around other children and helped her thrive. The nursery has a real family feel all the staff take the time to get to know each family and each child adapting activities to your child’s needs and next steps. My son is due to start soon ! Would definitely recommend !
Both my daughters have been to Playpals since they were 9 months and 12 months old. After we had such a wonderful experience with my first daughter there I knew when our second came along she would be in safe hands there too, when the time came. Really loving, caring staff there who cater to the individual needs of each child and have created a fun and friendly environment in which they play and learn. My children are school age now but still attend the holiday club at Ruckleigh School (not far from Playpals). It's run by the same staff, which they also love and always seem to have made new friends to play with. Couldn't recommend enough!
Our Daughter loves going to Paypals. Playpals have been great for her, she started just before her 1st Birthday and the benefits in her development since have been enormous. She loves all of the staff, she is always excited to go. We really like that they have been around since the mid 80’s and their wealth of experience is evident! And a bonus is, most of (if not all) of the staff are all paediatric first aid trained. Thank you Playpals :)
Our daughter attended Playpals for 3 years full time. She was well loved, well nourished and happy. She has grown up to be a kind, empathetic and independent little girl, thanks to the care and guidance she has received from her nursery. She looked forward to going to nursery every single day, she would want to go even on weekends. All her food allergies were taken care of and alternatives were always provided making sure she did not ever miss out. Despite her being a fussy eater, she absolutely loved food at the nursery. She even learned some sign language. Playpals offers very personal care suited to individual child and family and as a family we felt supported during some of the difficult times. Staff are professional and have years of experience and the kids adore them. Lynne, the owner, is very approachable and accommodating, always doing what is best for the kids and staff.
Nothing positive to say about this nursery, not a nice environment, the owner is extremely rude and difficult, with very poor people skills. My child hated it here, some long term staff were nice, mostly staff were so rude. Would advise to look elsewhere for your children.
A nursery that feels more like a family. I'm an ex-employee, I've worked here and it's been a wonderful experience. The staff are kind, friendly and experienced to take care of children. Playpals is a nursery that cares and is a great environment for your children to develop and grow.
I have been to this nursery as both a child and a member of staff. Both experiences have been wonderful, the staff work so hard and are so good at what they do. Real experts and also lovely people. I felt safe and happy there as a child and remember loving the nursery nurses. The nursery has a real warm family feel to it. Definitely recommend.

All three of my children and my nieces went to Playpals. They also were regulars at the after-school clubs and holiday clubs. They talked a lot about the different adventures they had at Nursery and all the interesting things they did every day. The caring and informal atmosphere meant they felt at home with all the lovely ladies who looked after them. I know that as a working mum ( also working in education) I could see the independent skills and the social abilities my children learnt from the gentle guidance of the nursery staff. I really hope that Playpals is still running when I have grandchildren!
