Fantastic well maintained wakeboard cable. The operator was very wachfull and helped to build confidence and talk through tricks. They have a few homemade obstils which I saw the operator check in the morning. Great to see safety prioritiesed. We booked day tickets before hand but you could have booked 2 hours then just paid for the rest of you decided you wanted to ride all day. Good hot strong showers, temp was not adjustable. There wear stones at point on the embankment so would recommend bring socks or system bindings. Good drink selection at the bar, but food stops at 3pm so there is nothing to eat if you finish wakeboarding at 4 till they open again at 6pm.

Lovely atmosphere. The restaurant is very good. All food I've had there has been delicious. There is a cafe type hut which is also very good (can be a little slow sometimes to get the food out). The 5k run route is very much a cross country route. Nice views but grass underfoot can be long in places making it difficult to run, but it's a bit different to other routes out there to try. Lakes are really nice. I've done a bit of fresh water swimming in my time and box end has pretty clear and clean water with lots of room. The laps are a decent distance so would recommend you are a good swimmer and not just a paddler. Wake boarding is really good even as a beginner giving it a go. Inflatable obstacles are great fun, really recommend for any age group. Have recently stayed on the cap site on one of the tent pitches. They are lovely and flat with very few stones on the surface. Big pitches and a small toilet and shower block. Great facility if you plan to do a few activities and can spread this over a couple of days. I really like there, and everyone is friendly with good attentive staff around as well.

The caravan park was excellent. What a well thought out place. We have been to over 15 and this tops the list. Excellent restaurant with friendly staff and great food.

Came to Box End to swim, easy to find, big car park, well laid out. Friendly staff, great facilities and a nice lake to swim at. I pre-booked a 1 hr slot, which was exact, you will be sent out to the nearest lake exit / bank, if you're in the middle of a lap. This was fine, but be aware. Lap was around 800m in length, there is a natural lane between water ski jumps, or you can, like I did swim right near the edge, it's shallower here. Wasn't too busy, you check-in at the start of the lap, giving over a token (you get as you go through reception and tell them your booking). Changing rooms are warm and have great hot showers. The changing rooms are single sex communal. There is a good place to get a coffee after. Highly recommended.

Fantastic for a family day out! Want to try paddle boarding, wakeboarding or water skiing, or try your ninja skills on the inflatable obstacle? Maybe watersports aren't your thing, how about Disc Golf, Foot Golf or archery? Bit far to travel? Camp! My only issue is food is a tad pricey for what you get at the lakeside hut, £5 for a processed boiled hotdog with no option for onions or anything is a tad steep, I'd expect a proper sausage for that price, but it is what it is! Still a great destination, and there's some baby ducks this time of year too!

Great grandsons birthday treat. He and his friends had a great time. Us as spectators had a good time too as there are picnic tables and food available. Really lovely place to visit. Safety seems to be a priority with staff very vigilant.

This is an awesome place, combining the most beautiful countryside, lakes and walks with a fantastic restaurant. There are a number of popular water sports available here depending on time of year. The staff are friendly and helpful. Truly a 5* experience whatever you choose to do.

Great fun for children and adults of all ages. You have to be fit and need to be able to swim. You can hire the wet suits which is great for the kids. Nice area to sit and watch what is going on around you. Also I have been told you can swim in the lake for £5 which I think I might try in the warm weather.
