Date of incident 20/12/2025 My wife had a deeply disappointing experience at the Dome Roundabout Sainsbury’s store in North Watford. She was using the self-checkout, and the machine was clearly malfunctioning. She raised the issue with a staff member who dismissed her concern and insisted it was fine. After completing her purchase and being charged, the machine froze while loading the receipt, leaving her with no proof of payment. When she asked for help, the senior staff member present during the incident, a woman (manager) who identified herself as Kerry, was extremely unhelpful and dismissive. She told her that the store was open until 11 PM and that she could wait until the machine eventually loaded — which could have taken hours. She was refused a refund or her shopping, even though the payment was clearly showing as pending on her bank account. The way she was spoken to was rude and unacceptable. We live in Hatfield and my wife had only come to this location while in the area, so it’s not convenient for her to return. She left without the essential shopping we needed for our family and felt completely let down. I hope Sainsbury’s takes this seriously. Customers deserve to be treated with respect and supported when systems fail — not ignored or made to feel at fault.

Plenty of parking, decent space in store and wide enough aisles to pass other shoppers with room to spare. Good value deals, but you need to search them out! The freezer and drinks spaces are probably the hardest to navigate!

Gemma is an incredible employee she helped with getting the reduced price on the self checkout but honestly she made that look soo easy I watched her going around helping people effortlessly with a massive smile on her face and it made my day she is a huge asset to the store she derserves a lot more then just my recognition with her incredible work ethic

Staff are usually friendly! I also usually get what I need when I’m in here fuss free too! Only thing I would suggest which would be to get 5 stars is to stop people with baskets using the bigger shop checkouts & vice versa.

Visited the upcoming auction exhibition. Great experience, a privilege and a pleasure to attend. The staff are warm and welcoming. The pics are of some of my favourite lots.

On my most recent visit there was plenty of stock available and the prices of the items were very competitive

Very busy (Fri evening so to be expected), ample parking, not many "Floor" staff if you have a query/question.

A well known grocery chain with all you would expect from this large UK chain. Well stocked clean and competitive prices. One of those traders you can depend on. Vast car park and plenty of vacant spaces.

Lovely store with a massive range of products. Ample parking available. Lots of disabled bays as well. Easy to Navigate around the store with a pushchair. So wheelchair user friendly as well. Aisles are nice and wide and kept clear. A bit more expensive than other retailers on some products but the quality is there and can be seen. Shelves were full and fresh products were in good condition and not squashed or mouldy. Some staff seem uninterested and putout if them to help you find something. Others happily y help without and issue.
