Awful awful experience. Applied for form ARD and haven't been issued a UAN number to book my TLScontact. Staff are ridiculously rude and unhelpful and some dont even have a clue what is going on. Run by incompetent people. Had multiple phone calls to be lead down a dead end each time. And yes I have checked my junk emails...
I'm very disappointed. So much money, stress, tests and months of waiting for the approval of my application for British citizenship, and still someone who considered my application made a mistake in entering the correct personal data on the certificate. Two weeks Before my application was approved in August 2023, I was asked to clarify my birth name because I kept my ex-husband's surname. When I applied for British citizenship I attached certificates translated from Polish into English with my name at birth written clearly. Despite this I was asked for clarification. Which I did by sending an e-mail to the link provided via the Home Office. I have attached my marriage certificate with a sworn translation from Polish to English. Two weeks later I received information that my application had been accepted and I should book the ceremony. During the ceremony when I was handed the certificate, it turned out that my birth name was written incorrectly.I sent my certificate back by filling out a form asking for my birth name to be corrected. For a month I didn't know what was happening with my certificate until I started calling and sending emails. What's happening with my certificate? Was it delivered at all? Finally, I received a reply that they had received my certificate and it would take 6 months to correct my name. What! It wasn't even my fault. I did everything I was asked to do. It has been 10 months since I submitted my application. Today is May. And I still haven't received my certificate. I have a trip abroad soon. I cannot apply for a passport. My permanent status was automatically canceled. I was locked up in the country. I cannot visit my family or go anywhere without a passport because I cannot apply for one without a valid certificate. I believe that such an error should be corrected immediately. My emails are ignored. Everyone washed their hands and I didn't even hear an apology. Just an e-mail asking for evidence why they should speed up the certificate correction. Which is what I did. As I write, the reason was not my fault but the fault of the Home office. I also attached a travel ticket that I need to travel outside the country. Unfortunately, I still haven't received either a certificate or an answer. I am disappointed with the situation that happened to me. I have lived in this country for 20 years and wanted to officially become a citizen. And this is how I was treated by the immigration office.
If I have an option with no star at all, I will go for it. I applied for the visitor visa for my mother-in-law and waited for 3 months and 10days to get the decision and it was a refusal. The reason stated in the letter was incorrect as compared to the bank state I provided and when I tried to call them, the response was “you can correct them by applying for a new visa” the thing is I can’t even go for an appeal! I don’t know what system is this.. utterly disappointed and very poor service

I was applied for my leave to remain uk visa in 28th October 2021 and still haven't received my visa it is more than 10 months and i think they don't understand people problems because we cannot get job without biometric card and after i read all reviews I'm afraid to say I don't know when my biometric going to come it's terrible service and they making people life harder

Its absolute joke. The waiting time for EU SS Family and travel permit visa from outside of the UK is said to be 60 working days.... that is 4 months!!! They do not reply to emails or cant give update on the application. They did not let me in to the building in Liverpool. The security guard politely asked why i came, he went to someone at the desk and came back saying he can't let me in as there is no case worker who can take care of me. He was polite but the service is totally helpless... we have written a letter to the HO directly, we wrote to out Local MP who also wrote a letter.... no responses, no updates, no nothing. You would have thought, if somebody has Settled Status that gives him the right to travel back to the UK and the application is straighfoward.... why then sich a long waiting time? In the Liverpool HO building there were maybe 15 desks but only two occupied by workers.... is this a joke??
