Closed at lunchtime. Understandable in these times. However at 1:30pm 3 members of staff proceeded to stand at the tills chatting not opening until for another 7 minutes. By this time over 20 people had gathered waiting to get in some worried if they would get back to work in time. When someone mentioned this on entry we were rudely greeted with a sarcastic “so sorry we are 3 minutes late opening” Always great to be treated as an inconvenience when choosing to spend hard earned money there! Disappointing

Some of the staff are absolute angels and will go above and beyond for patients. However, locking the barriers over the only accessible entry an hour before closing, isn't great. Luckily I'm an ambulant wheelchair user, I wonder how many non ambulant people are denied access? The reason given: too many people are stealing from that side of the store. Welcome to Gainsborough

I sometimes need to shop at Boots and seeing as my nearest is Gainsborough (4 miles away) it's extremely disappointing that the few times I've been, 50 percent of those times the Gainsborough branch has been closed. Money has definitely not been spent for a long time on this site, unlike other Boots such as Lincoln or retail parks in Scunthorpe. I appreciate it may not be as well used/supported, but is there any wonder?! The shop is tiny and well worn/grubby looking. It closes an hour for lunch and I understand this is due to no pharmacist (wish I got an hour break for my lunch at work!). I got my free hours parking ticket after the school run today and checked it was 9am opening so went to B&M first. Arrived at Boots for 9.15am and there was an A4 paper sign saying they were not opening until 9.30 today. Several people were outside waiting and it was starting to rain. My ticket was fast running out and I didn't fancy standing for 15 minutes getting wet. Chances are that when I did get in at 9.30am, there'd be a queue before me because obviously there would be only so many serving that day. The 1 star given is for the staff who I have always found to be polite and helpful and it's totally not their fault that the Gainsborough branch is being underfunded.

Store manager banishes me from Boots pharmacy for having a mental breakdown, due to her wanting to sort a last minute prescription problem out the next day, yet again,. Thus leaving me with no medication for the next day/morning yet again. Despite my efforts to contact the gp surgery to ask them to contact Boots pharmacy urgently, I was left to try and sort the problem on my own, unsuccessfully. This in turn then caused 2 pharmacy staff to go home later than usual, blaming me repeatedly for them missing an outing or not being able to go home on time. Staff member in white uniform said, “F… why can’t you just be normal?” , near the end of this episode; and while I was trying to do their job and get the gp prescription corrected - telephonically- and sent ASAP. Same staff member asked me why I didn’t choose to get my medications from any other pharmacy, rather than Boots. They refused to contact the gp 8 minutes before closing time, asking for the correct electronic prescription be sent, ready for the next day- Wednesday. This would have alleviated my anxiety/ huge concern as I explained to them- in an unexpectedly louder than usual speaking tone. No foul language was used by me at any time, so why be unprofessional and disgusting? Next time perhaps ask the customer for their side of the story before making such decisions. There are always two sides to a story, enhancing understanding. To top it all off, the next day, the store manager informs my teenage son, telephonically, that I am banned from the store before informing me. When he picks my medication up, about 10 minutes later, she takes him into the consultation room to give him even more details as to why this has happened, without me being present …. because he asked for more information! P.S. Patients with long term illnesses experience all sorts of problems and to have the same issue occur over and over again ( last September I had 9 weeks of mental torture before a prescription error was sorted out between the Gp and Boots.) has a huge effect on our mental health, not to mention our medical conditions. Understanding is key in any job you do, especially in healthcare.

Well equipped boots but some of the staff really need to work on customer service, all I can say is rude. But others smiley and helpful so hit and miss.

Went to collect a prescription. Arrived at 12.25 and by the time it was my turn it was 12.32 and the pharmacy closes between 12.30 and 13.30. I get the pharmacist needs a lunch break.. but advertise the fact on the website.. had to waste an hour of my life sat in the car. Staff are nice enough but get the opening hours for the pharmacy published online.

Today I was stood second in the que for the over the counter medication for 10 minutes completely ignored by the pharmacy staff who continued to speak with customers waiting for their prescription medications without a word to me or the lady in front. It wasn't until myself and the lady in front left the que to speak with a lady on a till around the corner we were told we couldn't be served until the pharmacist was back. This wouldn't have been an issue if they had just been curtious and told us. Very poor customer service. I voted with my feet and left.
