Lidl prices are not so little no more! As a supermarket it has got a few good bits but i would'nt do my whole shopping here! As it can get pricey compared to other brands

Dear Lidl Customer Services, I hope you are well. I am writing to raise a formal complaint regarding an upsetting and unprofessional incident that occurred yesterday at your branch I am a regular customer who lives very close to this store and visits frequently, which makes this experience extremely disappointing. Shortly before closing time, I heard the announcement that the store would be closing soon, so I headed towards the checkout. There were two customers ahead of me, which meant I still had around one or two minutes. At that moment, I remembered that I needed milk, so I walked quickly to pick it up — something that can easily be confirmed through your CCTV footage. While doing so, a staff member (whose name I could not obtain because security refused to provide it) began speaking to me in a rude and disrespectful manner. Even though I told him I would only grab the milk and leave, he continued speaking aggressively and loudly in front of other customers, which was embarrassing and completely unnecessary. I asked him several times to stop, but he refused and continued making comments in an unprofessional tone. When I asked for the manager, he claimed that he was the manager, which made the situation even more surprising given his behaviour. I had just left work and was in a hurry, arriving around 9:25 PM or slightly after, and I had no intention of causing any delay. What I expected was basic respect and understanding — or even assistance since it was close to closing time — not hostility. Because of the way he treated me, I ended up leaving my basket there and walking out, feeling extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. Instead of offering help or simply speaking politely, he made the situation worse. A professional staff member should speak respectfully, apologise when necessary, offer the basket, and assist customers — especially when time is running out. Unfortunately, what happened was the complete opposite. This incident has affected me emotionally and left me feeling stressed and disappointed. No customer should be treated this way, especially at a store they visit regularly. I kindly request that this incident be investigated seriously, including reviewing the CCTV footage. Today ( 15/10/2025 ) i went to greenford Lidl at 5.30pm . at the self checkout section I thought someone stole my phone when i was going to finished paying. i immediately informed the person who was uncharged self checkout section . he was very very unprofessional and very rude to me saying we cannot do anything if it’s gone its gone he said . then i asked politely to speak the manager about cctv footage and then the same person said i am the manager he said . even though he couldn’t do anything at least he can be nice and kind to the customers but he is not at point he has some sort of a responsibility about his working place and he is putting me the blame i should have done the mistake putting my phone on the self checkout screen which is very sarcastic. i was very helpless and feel very embarrassed in front of people and then one of the security staff from lidl came to support me to find my phone which i am highly appreciative. i really really don’t recommend this person to be your manager in this outlet as he doesn’t have a cool spot or humanity or responsibility on his character.

The place is chaotic, no structure whatsoever. Staff are just pulling stock through the Isles and just stopping to stock the shelves causing so much buildup in the Isles, definitely won't be going there again.
