We dropped our repeat prescriptions off at Owlthorpe surgery and early the next day I received an email from Weldricks next-door chemist to collect my meds.
There are so many supply issues all over the UK as a result of our incompetent Government...but the staff at Weldrecks at Owlthorpe chemist go above and beyond to try and help as much as possible. They have helped me so many many times over the years and when I have been at my lowest they have been so patient and kept me updated at every step with my medication. They are a wonderful set of humans and I want to say a big thank you for all your efforts and I appreciate you all very much.
Used to be good but they have centralised prescriptions for delivery recently in Doncaster. This has been poorly promulgated leaving many unaware of the lead time going up from a few days to 10 days and from personal experience they are unable to achieve that target. It appears that they have implemented something they have been poorly prepared for and when that could endanger people’s health or even lives one has to ask if this is acceptable. Would have given 1 star were it not for the efforts of the staff at Moorthorpe Bank branch. I am now revising this review. I gave it 3 stars in the above review now it’s one star because there has been no improvement. My wife has been waiting 15 day for her prescription and still no sign of it. These are not like a parcel from say Amazon where a week or two delay isn’t all that serious medication keeps people well in fact it keep many people ALIVE. 15 days is longer than the surgery allows for ordering repeat prescriptions. Oh! and Amazon usually deliver the next day. I think I’ll have to change pharmacy. I have, since writing the above, visited the local branch and showed the my SystemOnLine page showing that the script had been sent direct to Doncaster and the date. I must add that the staff at the Moorthorpe Bank branch could not have been more polite or helpful and have once again got things sorted out.
i use this pharmacy all the time, they are really helpful and supportive when i have needed them. could not ask for a better team, they listen too everyone’s problems. so greatfull for their help!

I have never been to a more unhelpful chemist. I have recently lost my father and when I went to collect the drugs he required at end of life they never had them in. Worse still when I returned the drugs for disposal soon after his death i was not greeted by “sorry to hear of your loss” but a blank face and give us your contact details incase something is amiss. How cold and thoughtless.
