GP’s send prescriptions over digitally, I’m certain this makes the service slower. Prescription sent from my GP on a Monday, by Friday still no text! The place is clean and tidy, unfortunately the prices are far too high. Paracetamol is over £1. Now who’s going to pay that when they are 39p in supermarkets? They have a very high turnover of staff it would seem. I’ve only ever had a problem with a staff member during Covid. Apart from the prices and long wait for much needed medications the pharmacy is fair in my opinion. Not disabled friendly which is a big issue and the loud annoying sound when you open the door is annoying.

The lady serving was so rude! Went in to collect a prescription which had been sent over by the doctor and was told it was put on a different dispenser list and would be two days. I explained I needed the medication today as I had run out. The lady behind the counter was very rude and abruptly said “should have ordered it earlier then.” With a face like thunder. I tried to politely explain that these tablets are not on a repeat prescription due to needing regular review at my GP so I can’t order them myself but she just scoffed, turned her back and walked away from me before I could finish explaining. I would have asked for a printed copy to go elsewhere but she didn’t give me the chance to ask. I did receive my medication and the lady pharmacist who gave them to me was nicer and more understanding of the situation however I will not be going back and will be going elsewhere from now on. I have anxiety and the medication is a common one for anxiety and mental health so to be treated like this has affected me more than most. It’s not hard to have some manners and diplomacy you never know everyone’s circumstances, nor should I or anyone have to justify the reasons for needing a prescription the same day.

Well is not a word I would use to describe this chemist. Girl on front counter, was rude and needs to learn some manners and customer service skills urgently. She rudely spoke to me and then needed me to repeat my name 3 times, I would understand if it was busy but I was the only one in there. This is my local chemist and often I get a text to say my prescription is ready to collect, then when I arrive to collect there is no pharmacist and so they can't dispense my prescription so why send the text! The only reason I give it a star is the pharmacist currently in there is fantastic and gives excellent service and advice.
