Sad to see others complaining about this lovely shop. I've had nothing but positive experiences here, I do usually call ahead to see if they're taking donations but understandably they are limited on space so they can't take everything! I've had loads of gorgeous books for my toddler from here and a really nice coat last year for like £6!
The shop is great and there are lots of great items for sale. Sundays are a problem though. They should be open at 10am, as verified on the website and on the shop doors opening hours. The shop is never open at 10am. I called the number to find out as I'd been stood outside, with numerous others waiting, and the reply I got was, 'I'm on my own, I'll be open in 10 minutes' which would make it nearly 10.30am. The shop should not be advertising as open at 10am, if you're not going to be. Other than that, a great little charity shop.
Don’t have access to a car but managed to arrange with daughter’s dad to take a bag of DVD’s (some not even opened) to the shop today on their way out for the day. Surprised to get message from daughter that they are not taking donations today, earliest day is Tuesday and to ring first. Sadly will have to look for alternative way to donate to somewhere else I’m afraid
We gathered many of our new coats and clothes that have not been worn. These could have gone to people who really need them. This is our local charity shop. On entering the store we were told they are not taking any donations. If you don't need them are you not able to give them to one of your other shops ? At least stick a Singh in the window to make local residents aware that you do not need any donations. We will find another shop in Stockport that will accept donations. Your loss you have missed out on many new items of clothing.
