   Very happy with the service I recieved at this great travel clinic/ pharmacy. Taj and the rest of the staff have always looked after me with their helpful and friendly customer service. The Service and advice have been consistently excellent. Taj took the time/ patience to explain all the options available to me for my holidays and what would be most effective/ cost effective. I really appreciated the privacy, comfort and calm offered in the clean consultation room. Outstanding customer service as I was able to get booked in immediately. This is the second time they have accommodated me for a last minute holiday. Great prices compared to other services available locally.

   The service I have received from Totley Pharmacy has always been excellent. When my husband was poorly Taj went out of his way to sort out some problems with his medication from the Drs. He also phoned me to offer his condolences when my husband passed away. The staff are always polite and courteous.

   Visited yesterday for the first of my travel vaccinations as I had left it too late to visit the gp surgery. Taj was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. The chemist shop was very busy and well stocked with decent on street parking. Good to see a local business thriving

   The owner Taj and all the staff at Totley pharmacy are so knowledgeable. They always go above and beyond to be helpful. They have on numerous occasions picked up mistakes that my GP have made with my prescriptions. Because Taj knows what my medications are he knew instantly that I could not take these medications and they interacted. I had to phone my GP practice and they admitted they had mistakenly prescribed them. His staff are all very helpful. If I forget to order on time that is my mistake but they always try to help me. The amount of abuse and rude customers I have witnessed while in the pharmacy always astounds me. You do not get this level of knowledge care and understanding with a chain pharmacy you only get this with your local pharmacy I would never go anywhere else

   The pharmacy is well equipped with medications and the vending machine at the front makes it a convenient choice for those who work during their open hours. However, they take a very long time to dispense repeat prescriptions (my latest experience was 4 working days, within which time I ran out of medication and had to order a 111 emergency prescription, I have now been charged twice for dispensing). Do not even bother trying to call - they never answer the phone. I was on hold for an incredible 24 minutes before giving up a couple of days ago. In addition, the owner of the pharmacy is incredibly combative in his communication style, especially towards women. This makes it difficult to solve issues with medications or ask questions about possible side effects. I will be switching pharmacies to Wells on Totley Rise. Update - visit on Tuesday 28 October I returned today to collect my prescription. Despite arriving promptly at 9am, I was made to wait 20 minutes, reportedly due to a backlog of uncollected prescriptions from the vending machine. I should note that I am part of this group, as I was unable to collect mine earlier due to being charged for an emergency prescription last Wednesday and not being able to afford the additional cost until today. Before handing over my prescription, the pharmacy owner asked me to step into a back room for a discussion. I declined, as this request felt inappropriate and uncomfortable. He then attempted to justify the delay in dispensing my prescription, insisting it wasn’t late and that I was mistaken, claiming the 72-hour window begins when the GP sends the prescription, which he said occurred on Tuesday. To which I explained that this should be updated on the App or messaging from request, as 72 hours is not an accurate timeline. The conversation quickly became heated. He repeatedly spoke over me, despite asking me questions, and refused to acknowledge any part of my concerns. When I expressed that his approach felt combative, and asked him to allow me to have a conversation with him, he again told me I was wrong. I asked several times for my prescription, explaining I needed to return to work, and was met with the question: “Are you going to remove the review?” I will not be removing the review. This interaction only reinforces my original concerns about the service provided. I’ve now chosen to transfer my prescriptions to Wells Pharmacy to avoid further issues. I also visited Steel City Practice on Baslow Road to report the incident. The receptionist and several patients confirmed that similar complaints about the owner's behaviour have been made previously. If you're new to the area, or even if you've been here a while, I strongly advise choosing a pharmacy that prioritises professionalism and safety. Unfortunately, this one does not.
