I have been using this chemist for many years it’s a family run chemist and they try their best to sort out any outstanding problems you may have

I know this chemist is short staffed and busy but do you not realise by not answering your phone when customers are calling about prescriptions you are encouraging more people to visit the chemist when their prescriptions are not ready.

I decided to write a review from my perspective after reading other reviews for this chemist and I felt the need to share my experience. As a lot of the reviews are very negative, but I've received nothing but a very good service from here. I've been coming to this chemist for around 20 years. I have never had a problem myself as a result of the chemist, but I have had issues due to Duke Medical Centre (Thank goodness I'm no longer a patient there). Wednesday before the Jubilee was a particular busy day and I witnessed a fair few issues. Again these issues seemed to arise due to Duke Medical Centre's incompetence, but the staff at the chemist received the brunt of the situation, which often resulted in them receiving verbal abuse of some form. Considering the above and how busy they were the staff remained professional at all times I personally find the staff here very helpful and very friendly, especially Laila, Lisa, and Robert. Even though I no longer go to a GP in the area (although I still live in the area, but that's a different story in regards to the level of incompetence I received from Duke Medical Centre), I have still chosen this chemist as my designated chemist to get mine and my child's medication. So a big thumbs up from me.

What an absolute joke this place is! Supposed to be cautious and distancing in the current pandemic, I counted 12 people in this really small space, staff member came out from back and commented how busy it was but didn’t ask anyone to wait outside and then went into the back again and started chatting instead of trying to get the queue down. Pharmacist is outside chatting to a friend at their car whilst numerous people are waiting for him to check prescriptions. Absolute disgrace!!

Avoid! In the last year I've had to get emergency prescriptions 4 times due to the incompetence of the staff working at this pharmacy! They constantly mess up my prescriptions and blame it either on my GP or the app I ordered my medication from, despite everything being okay with those! Absolutely pathetic! They put people's lives in danger with a smile on their faces.

Recently chose to visit this Lloyds Pharmacy for a flu jab. The receptionist who greeted me was very professional and extremely welcoming. However, the 'nurse' who was in charge of doing my jab was unwelcoming, dirty and unprofessional. The room which jabs are carried out in was tiny, dusty and cluttered with old and what seemed like unused items. The nurse pulled out DIRTY gloves from his pocket upon entry to the room, had them on whilst looking for some paper work, typing on a keyboard and touching all possible surfaces. The gloves were supposed to be blue however, the fingertips were grey from the dirt and gloves were covered in pen marks (none of the marks were the colour that the nurse was using.. so I wonder how long he's been re-using those). After touching every possible surface with those disgusting gloves, he proceeded to prepare my jab. No disinfection or change of gloves. No health and safety precautions were followed. A health and safety inspection is needed in that place as it is unsanitary and unsafe. STAY AWAY!
