Brilliant and inclusive dance academy. My eldest son has been going since he was 2, he's nearly 9 now. He's done exams and shows and has really improved whilst learning in a supportive and kind environment. My youngest started recently and has been really thriving as well. I can't wait to see him in his first show! Couldn't recommend them highly enough.

Highly recommended… my daughter started lessons for the first time as a young teenager with no prior dance experience, Steph & Beth at Steps dance academy have a brilliant holistic approach to teaching and taught her so well that she was able to learn the foundations quickly and effectively whilst still being able to stay in a group for her age range. She’s had an amazing time at steps and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to take their dance skills to the next level. The instructors are not only talented but genuinely passionate about teaching, and they create a positive, welcoming environment for dancers of all levels. The classes are well-structured, challenging, and fun, with a focus on building strong technique while encouraging creativity. I can see that my daughter has grown so much as a dancer since joining, and it’s also become a place where she feels like part of a family with a lot of support available . If you’re serious about dance or just looking to have fun and improve, this is definitely the place to be!

If you want a friendly dance class which puts no pressure on the children then look no further. My Daughter has been learning to dance with Steps for 18 months and has grown in confidence. Although she's not yet taken any dance exams, she has been part of a show last December with no sign of nerves. She enjoys her weekly sessions and learning new moves. So pleased we chose this dance class. Thank you Steph, Beth and the team for making learning so enjoyable and dance fun xx

Steps Dance Academy is not just a dance school, it's like a family - the teachers are so friendly and really care. They make time to get to know each child and parents too. Over the years my daughter has developed friendships and her confidence has grown in so many ways. Thank you Steph, Beth, & everyone at the Academy.

So where do I start?? My daughter started dancing just under 18 months ago. She has done so well she now enjoys the privilege of helping the teaching team with the younger dancers. So thoroughly enjoys her time at dance so much so she was inspired to do GCSE dance. The staff are amazing. I have myself starting joining in with the adult class since January, the staff are so understanding and patient. Would highly recommend to ages from 2 upwards. There is no age barrier here !! Amazing team who are not just my dance teachers these days I consider them to be very good friends too.

I'm a newcomer to the adult tap and jazz class . I absolutely love it . I was made to feel very relaxed and was welcomed by the dance teachers . I'm just getting to know the other dancers but they really are such a friendly group of people . I'm looking forward to returning to the class in September .

I started dancing at Steps Dance Academy over 4 years ago. I joined the adult class, held on a Tuesday, when I was in my early 20s. I did not dance as a child and went along to have fun and make friends. I look forward to my dance class as everyone there, teachers and fellow pupils, are really friendly (and sometimes a little bit silly, which suits me down to the ground, after coming from my often very serious office job!). There is no pressure on the pupils and each individual’s ability is taken into consideration during the class. Having had no dancing experience as a child I was worried that I would be behind everyone else, but this really is a mixed ability class. Since being with Steps Dance Academy I have taken two exams, which I had never dreamed that I would be able to do, as an adult beginner. I cannot thank the teachers, Steph, Beth and Kate, enough for everything they do to encourage and support me (and for their constant kindness and patience). If you are having second thoughts about trying out dancing, whether for the first time or you’d like to pick it back up, come along and give it a go, you won’t regret it!

I take the adult class and I’ve been there for almost a year now. It’s lots of fun and caters for all ages and abilities. The teachers are caring and friendly. They have built my confidence and taught me to be proud of my successes whilst learning to dance. For me there’s no better environment as my daughter also attended when she was little. I’ve already told her when she has a child of her own nanny will be in charge of his/her dance education. And there’s no other place I would go!!
