Paying for shopping in this store is a pain. Nobody is ever on the checkout where there is plenty of room to pack your (expensive) shopping away, instead you have to use the “fag” counter with enough room for you basket and not much more and if you use the self serve tills you might as well be the invisible man because waiting for a member of staff to clear the alarm can take an eternity. For a big coop store it is extremely underutilised and feels like a waste.

My daughter urgently needed a toilet, and we ran from Torr Riverside Park searching for one. We finally reached Coop after around 7 mins of asking around and navigation. The cashier told us the nearest public toilet was about a 10-minute walk away. I pleaded with her because of the urgency, and she kindly directed me to the person in charge, Dean. Dean immediately agreed without hesitation and personally brought us to use the toilet, even waiting to escort us back out. We’re truly grateful for his kindness and for saving us from a very difficult situation. We ended up buying snacks which we brought back to the park to enjoy. It was value for money and tastes really good!

A decent range considering its small size but it is consistently (over 4 years of going there) understaffed on the checkouts leading to long waits even if you try to use self checkouts as those often require staff intervention.

Larger than a normal Co-op store. Has a bigger range than most local stores and the fresh food seems pretty decent. It's still a far cry from it's competitors and I just don't think it can price match on Aldi or Tesco. It seems strange that it's one of only two stores of this nature in New Mills and both are the more expensive stores. Personally , I think it should be replaced with a more affordable shop but as far as Co-op go, it's a decent one.

Went to get a meal deal today 27-06-2023 my eyes lit up like head lights my favourite Cornish pasty and only £2.30 and hot... well done co-op all the other places ranged between £3.50 and £5.50 yummy

Terrible customer service from the store manager Darren. He falsely accused my wife of being a shoplifter because she was using her own Le Creuset shopping bag to gather her shopping whilst in the store. The fact is that the store is filthy and the baskets are never cleaned or have the handles wiped, so using the baskets provided is potentially a health hazard. Darren even made up a new Law, he said it was actually illegal to use your own shopping bag - get your facts straight before accusing people. My family and I have used the store for over 12 years and are Co-op card holders, I can guarantee that we will never set foot in there again.

Been going to this supermarket for a few weeks now.. Poorly run and poorly stocked. Outrageous prices to boot. Needs a good shakeup..until that happens I won't be using them again..

An evil staff member in this place afflicted me so strongly that even now, two years later, I still feel like I’m in Hell as a direct result. When I politely said goodbye to them just before leaving the store, they said, ‘Did you say something? Just keep walking, okay?’ Presumably, they thought that just because they were older than me, they had suffered more than I have, that they were better than me and that they could address me however they pleased. I hate them as much as very few others. They were one of the most evil people I’ve ever met, and they need firing as soon as possible. Very poor show. Hatefully bad service.
