   My regular coffee place with my 2 year old grand daughter every Wednesday. Great warm cherry and sultana scones. Good space for trolleys, pleasant cheerful owners who are tolerant of children. Toilet clean and accessible.

   Lived in heaton moor for 3 years and never had an experience like this anywhere. I went in to the cafe (which was empty) with my 18 month old son at around 4.30pm and asked the lady behind the counter if I could possibly use the baby changing facilities, to which she pointed me in the direction of. we used the facilities, which were very clean, cleaned up after ourselves and used the nappy bin provided. As I was leaving there was another woman behind the counter who, as I was thanking them for helping me out, a pregnant mum with a toddler, told me that the toilets were for paying customers only. Had I been told this at the start I would’ve gone somewhere else where I’m sure this would not have been a problem, as it never has been in the past. I then tried to purchase a bottle of water, only to be told it’s £5 minimum spend on card. As I was in a rush to get home for his tea etc… I didn’t have time to sit in but I also cannot justify spending £5 to change my babies nappy. The woman then asked what I’d done with the nappy and seemed shocked I’d left it in the bin provided, she told me she’d have to change the bin now (something I assume you would be going to do anyway). The lady was rude and I was shocked by her lack of customer service, never mind human decency. I have been a manager in hospitality and customer facing industries for almost 20 years and never heard something so ridiculous and down right un empathetic in all my life. I understand that customer toilets are for paying customers, that is fine, but surely a little lenience is made for babies? At the very least they should make it clear before you use them and maybe consider a sign perhaps making it clear they are not a mother/baby friendly establishment. I have been a paying customer here in the past but I certainly will not be in the future…Shame on you. I shall await your response as I would love to know your official policy on this.

   Amazing shop- always super friendly and helpful, and have a really great range of organic foods in stock. They even take requests and order stock that we ask for regularly, and it's a joy to pop in. Not tried the cafe but it seems very popular. I think this place is one of the highlights of Heaton Moor for me.
