   I’m incredibly disappointed with United Adventure Camps, particularly their Leeds Grammar School site. My daughter, who has just completed Reception, was excluded from attending camp with her classmates solely because she was born at the end of August. Children in the same year group (even just a few weeks older) were accepted. This kind of blanket age cut-off is deeply unfair and discriminatory towards summer born children. Under Ofsted guidelines, all Reception aged children are still part of the Early Years Foundation Stage until 31 July, whether they’ve turned 5 or not. So if one Reception child is allowed to attend in July, they all must be covered by EYFS registration and staffing ratios. United Education is registered with Ofsted for Early Years at this site, yet staff admitted in writing that they do not have the appropriate early years trained staff this summer. This means they are either: breaking Ofsted ratio and safeguarding rules, or applying their policy inconsistently by accepting some Reception children & excluding others based on birth date. When I raised these concerns and asked for a formal explanation, they ignored my email and my request to escalate the matter. There has been no accountability, no safeguarding reassurance, and no response. I’ll be raising this with Ofsted and Leeds City Council, as this approach goes against inclusion, equality, and the most basic safeguarding expectations.

   I have no words for this camp! I have been searching and trialing different camps for my 6 year old son for 2 years - a lot had no structure just a lot of aimless free play and a lot of mixed age groups which overwhelmed my son. However this camp! Up at the alwoodley school was beyond expectations. My son thrived the staff went above and beyond, the timetable was exciting for the children and they also do random fun days with giant inflatables or people who came in and showed animals etc. I have not 1 complaint about this camp and will be booking him in for the foreseeable! Thank you guys

3. Bright Beginnings Childcare Agency ★☆☆☆☆

   United Education used our services when they were looking for supply childcare staff during summer. Since then we have struggled to get in touch with them and we are still awaiting payment. No one replies to emails or answers the phone. I would be very wary supplying to them or trusting them with my child when the business seems to be in disarray.

   My 5 year old absolutely loves their summer holiday camps which are packed with lots of different activities every day and never got bored with it and the staffs are always friendly and welcoming!
