“We have been absolutely thrilled with choosing this nursery for our daughter. The team always go above and beyond and have helped our daughter to settle into nursery so quickly. E started nursery at 23 months and they quickly got to know her and her interests. They enhance provision areas based on the children’s interests and move the children’s learning forward by their skilful addition of selected resources to complement these interests and work on their next steps. E is very happy to come to nursery and always has so much to say when she comes home. She clearly enjoys coming and her speech is developing so much since starting in September. At pick up and drop off, the team are great at handing over any information, communication between the setting and families has been fantastic. They have shared pictures of E with us and it has been lovely to see her having so much fun whilst learning in Nursery. There is also a closed Facebook group for current parents that you can join and these posts are informative and support parents with their child’s development whilst also sharing photos and videos of the children at work! It is clear that a lot of thought goes into these and as parents, we find this a very valuable resource. We are so thrilled that we became part of the Kirkgate family!”

“I joined here from Bootham in class 4 and they made such a positive change to my life and education, giving me lasting memories, unique experience and friendships as well as a solid education. Covering things from the basics like maths, English and science to a wide coverage of history, religion and practical things such as woodworking. “We are satisfied with the service (tuitioning) of the EducateFirst Tuition Centre. Our daughter is among other children who came to learn, listen and think about a range of topics. She learns to respond to every question and listen to other children answers. It is definitely interactive learning due to small groups and calm environment. Compare to online home learning with lot's of distraction around, our daughter works better with other children in a group.”

“What a fantastic place for kids this is! Best nursery in the area. Plenty of activities, animals, a lot of space and outdoor fun. You get photos of your child activities daily and you can trace the progress of your little one online, you also get a lot of feedback from friendly staff. “We travel to Burn Bridge Preschool from central Harrogate as it only takes 10 minutes, and its worth the short trip as it is a lovely place to send your children. Staff are very friendly and helpful and my son is always excited to go there.”

“Our son attended playgroup and he absolutely loved it. Every day he ran in no problem, often too excited to take his bag and say bye to us! He spoke about the staff a lot which was lovely, saying they were his friends and that he wanted to work there when he was older. Often on a weekend he would ask to go see them. The setting is perfect for little ones to develop, indoor play with all different stations, crafts, reading area etc. a playground with play huts, sandpit, bikes etc. A woodland area with all sorts of outdoor activities. Access to the sports fields where they do fitness and sports. The orchard and woods where they do forest school. There really is so much for them to do. Since starting at playgroup he has gained so much confidence and made loads of friends. Most of which are going to Bishopthorpe Infant School. This meant when he attended taster sessions his friends were there and they were all excited to go to big school. Attending playgroup has given him the best possible start for school. “My son joined Stockton Lane Playgroup when he was 3 years and has absolutely loved his time there. The staff are so incredibly nurturing and kind which is what drew me to the playgroup. They have an excellent reputation and I can see why. The playgroup is spacious and there are always new and exciting activities for the children. I also joined part of the committee during our time there which opened up meeting lots of new friendly parents. My son and I have both made many friends and feel this has been a great start to transitioning into school life. Highly recommend”

“Can’t speak highly enough of Under Five’s. My son attended from being 2 for 3 years and my youngest has been there since he was 9 months old. They’ve been amazing with my son who is SEN autistic who was non verbal when he started, and really helped with the transition of going to up to primary school with all the other children given they’ve got such good connections to the village primary school. This was reassuring when applying for our school place knowing these connections were already there and stopped the worry for us of him not getting into the primary school. My youngest - now 2, tells us about all the things they see given they’re set on such an open field which I love. I drive from Selby after trying other settings and it’s well worth the extra few miles to know he’s so happy and in the right place”
