“We moved our daughter from another nursery to Stepping Stones just after her first birthday. Tomorrow she starts reception at the local primary school, so it's a big milestone for all of us! From the moment we first visited this family-run nursery, we knew our daughter would be taken care of and she settled very quickly. The staff work incredibly hard and are invested in the children's wellbeing and development. Her language skills and social confidence have come on leaps and bounds. Every milestone has been handled with care and attentiveness, the team were always there to offer additional support and advice, addressing any worries we had as first time parents (also from the 'lockdown' era!). Our daughter has absolutely loved engaging with trips to the local parks, visits from the emergency services, and regular yoga classes. The meals are of a very high standard, security and communication are always very consistent. A brilliant nursery, highly recommended.”
“I came across the Nottingham Day Nursery and Preschool some time ago and I liked everything I saw on the website. Although I was quite certain it was going to be out of our price range, I recently booked a viewing. First of all, it turned out to be the cheapest out of all of the nurseries we have seen, moreover it is the only nursery that apart from meals and snacks also provides free nappies and wipes! Finally, it is the only nursery that offers settling in days over 8 weeks which makes me feel more at ease and more confident in gradually increasing the number of hours instead of throwing my daughter in at the deep end (most of the nurseries offer 2 days 1-2 hours each day). My first impression was very positive, place looked clean, organised and it had a nice flow between the rooms. The baby room was warm and bright, with different 'stations' set out with activities for babies, the sleeping area looked very cosy with fairy lights on to create a pleasant, soothing ambiance. It felt like a warm and comforting environment, each member of staff welcomed us with a big smile and each one of them seemed to be very caring, nurturing and supportive. The nursery manager, Krupa went above and beyond our expectations! During the viewing I was very impressed with her professionalism, dedication and passion for running this nursery and ensuring that all of the children are taken great care of and that they all thrive and are prepared for school when the time comes. We hardly had any questions as she explained everything in detail. I could tell that a lot of hard work has gone into making this nursery into a nice, warm and friendly environment as it is! All the babies and toddlers looked happy and like they had a lot of fun which speaks for itself! We felt really taken care of! I felt so calm and reassured and I think my daughter is going to really enjoy her time there! I could not be happier that we managed to get a place for her at this nursery! If her stay is going to be as positive as the first impression then it's going to be great!”
“My baby really enjoys going to tiny talk. It's a great environment and everyone is very friendly and supportive. Ellie is also a great leader. She really engaging and helpful. Really recommend.”
“Think For The Future Tots is fantastic. My kid loves going and always has a great time. The staff are brilliant and attentive and the range of activities for the little ones is fantastic. Communication is great such that I always know how they're getting on. Would highly recommend.”
“My daughter has attended for a year and loved it! They are very caring, communicate regularly and have been just fabulous overall! We're sad to leave but on to school!”
“My daughter has attended this nursery since she was 9 months old- at now just over 3 years old I can hand on heart say that this nursery is her home away from home and I could not imagine having sent her anywhere else. All of the staff have been absolutely incredible from day 1. One of the most difficult things to do as a parent is having to go back to work and entrust other people with the care of your child, but this nursery makes it so easy. It is so clear how much the staff here care for the little ones they look after. I am dreading the day my daughter goes to school and we have to say goodbye to this wonderful wonderful place. You are all absolute angels and I cannot thank you enough for helping me raise my little girl.”
“Couldn’t ask for anymore from an early years setting. The outdoor space they have is a huge! The children are outside all year round, they really make use of the space they have. My son and daughter both attended here from age two and their excitement to run through the doors everyday speaks volumes. They offer breakfast club and after school club. The events they put on throughout the year are not to be missed. Their staff are all highly trained alongside being the most caring staff members I have come across in a setting. A setting for SEN children too. They have gone above and beyond to make sure my son has had the best start in his learning journey. Recognising things early on and being proactive with putting things in place for him. Their open door policy means parents/carers can pop along to speak to them anytime and they really do listen and offer advice. I am so happy I found this pre school. My son will miss them so much. I am excited for my daughter to carry on her learning journey here as she has already made huge progress in a such short space of time.”
“This is a really lovely nursery. Both of my children have attended since they were babies. The staff are very friendly and they’ve built really nice relationships with the staff and other children. A lot of the staff have been here for many years and we are always kept up to date with their stages of learning and involved with their progress. The staff have been very patient with my son who struggled after lockdown to return to the setting after being at home for some time but they’ve all been amazing and he now asks when he is coming to nursery to see his friends! Highly recommended. Thank you for all you do.”
“We couldn’t be happier with our experiences at Footsteps nursery. Both of our children (1yo & 4yo) have loved going since day one and always come home smiling and full of things to tell us from their days. Communication from the staff about our children’s development is always really clear and regularly reviewed. We know exactly what our children are working on and how we can help at home. There’s a lovely family feel about the place, all of the adults are friendly and approachable. They always make an effort to talk to the children, even if they aren’t in their room and it’s very clear that the adults know the children well and are invested in them and their interests. We couldn’t have wished for a more caring and lovely Nursery to trust our children with.”
“Highly recommend, my daughter is very happy when attending nursery, the care & education she receives is excellent.”
“We have both of our kids attending this nursery for 2 months now, and so far we have had a very positive experience. They both settled really well, and now very happy to go in every morning. From the very beginning everything was very well organized, and it was smooth transition for our children from different nursery thanks to help and support from all the staff!”
“Partou team are very friendly, kindly, lovely and they take care of the kids very well. I don’t have any complaint about the nursery. Team at room 2-3years that is my son's room, I have to appreciate the work that they have been doing for my son. He loves you all ♥️”
“I cannot speak more highly of this nursery. My daughter's previous nursery unfortunately couldn't cater to her SEN needs due to staff/children ratio and she wouldn't last more than 30 mins before i received a call to pick her up, because she has had a meltdown. This hasn't happened once since going to this nursery. My daughter has also developed so much and looks forward to going to nursery”
“Couldn't of wished for a better place to put my boy into nursery, he seems to be thriving even more with them, staff are absolutely incredible with constant updates an always there to put my mind at ease if he has a struggle when I drop him off, would recommend academy day nursery to any parent unsure of of nursery placements who may be worried as I was , but they truly are incredible!”
“Having had a very bad experience at another nursery, as you can imagine, my child was reluctant to leave my side. My child also has mild separation anxiety. Being a lockdown child, she doesn't like to be left with strangers. She was only 3 when we found this nursery, and being anxious myself, knowing I had to leave my child again in the hands of strangers, I needed to find the perfect setting for my daughter. We looked at so many nurseries, but none were to my satisfaction. I honestly nearly gave up on the idea and was thinking about extending my work relief until she was in full-time education. Radcliffe Road Day Nursery was a breath of fresh air. I could instantly see how happy and cheerful the children were. The nursery was clean and smelled fresh. The staff were happy, helpful, and friendly. I analyzed body language and paid close attention to every detail. The way the staff engaged with my daughter and the other children in the setting impressed me right from the start. The outdoor area was fabulous - sand pit, water play, mud pit. They changed the children into puddle suits andwellie boots before going out to play. They got out of dirty clothes and washed hands upon their return. Genuinely, the children and staff all seemed to be having such great fun together. Professional, organized, clean, happy - I couldn't ask for a better nursery. It was slightly more expensive than the other places I visited, but honestly worth every penny. I would 100% recommend these ladies and gentlemen. I was very happy with every aspect. My daughter loves to go to the nursery, she loves her key workers, and has definitely excelled in her short time. Thank you to all the staff and keep doing what you are doing. Fabulous, truly fabulous. Thank you - 5-star!! I'd give 10 stars if I could.”
“The nursery has a caring and nurturing atmosphere and is well managed. The staff members are lovely and see the children as individuals. Our children have been very happy at Scott's Wood and I am glad we chose this nursery.”
“My son would live at nursery if he could. My eldest went to The Wolds and left only to start school. He’s always asking to go back and if he can pick my youngest up with me to see all the ladies that look after him again. My youngest is in inventors and does 3 days a week, the other 4 days of the week he talks about wanting to be there and when he’s going again. His speech, confidence and personality has come on in bundles. We live away from my family and they comment every-time they visit about how much he has changed. He comes home everyday to tell us what he has done and which friend he has played with.He nearly always has something to show me that he has made or we look an Famly to see what he has been up to. The app is great for this, we know when he’s napped and for how long. What he’s had for lunch and tea and how much. I wouldn’t want my boys to of gone anywhere else. I 100% recommend The Wolds and dread the day we have to say goodbye again and head to school. It’s like a family there and they’ve given him the most wonderful, fun and learning start to life. I will be forever greatful”
“My children have been part of Poplars Nursery School since 2012 and they have benefitted enormously from the ethos of the nursery, the smaller, home-like setting, and the care and attention of the staff. The staff know the children very well, and appreciate their personalities and where they are at in their development. They track their development in conjunction with parents with books which include plenty of photos so you can see what they have been up to. They do lots of fun activities, which are well thought through and promote their self-confidence and independence, In fact, a lot of thought goes in to their processes and activities and it's clear that the children enjoy being in this environment. My children have particularly enjoyed the visits from White Post farm, the annual nursery outings, the occasional outings to local sites and annual productions where they get to perform to all the parents and show them what they have been doing throughout the year. We have been delighted by the care and nuture this nursery has given all our children - thank you Poplars!”
“Both of my girls went to nursery here, really lovely place, the staff have all been excellent throughout. The manager is brilliant, always been there to help us. I was surprised at how much my girls developed during their days at nursery, they took leaps forward under the care of the staff there. Couldn’t be happier, a big thank you to all the staff.”
“Absolutely love the staff at this nursery, they are a lot better with my son then a child minders was, I always get photos and updates they are kind and patient”
“Wonderful nursery! The staff are so attentive to my daughter’s needs and have really made her feel at home! Well thought activities and the manager goes above and beyond!”
“My daughter has attended Springfield for the past two years. She has loved going each week and is sad to be saying good bye to the fantastic Ladies at the end of the week as she moves to Infants school. The activities each week are amazing and the Ladies really do go above and beyond for the children.”
“My little girl started here at 7months old. The staff are so welcoming and friendly and it's taken only a short time for my daughter to be settled. The nursery is clean and organized. There's always a range of age related activities and it's obvious staff really care about the children. I would highly recommend.”
“Our son started at Wollaton House Day Nursery when he was just 10 months old, and now at two years old, he has absolutely thrived in their care. The dedication and warmth of the staff are truly unmatched, making it the best decision we could have made for him. One of the things we love most is the independent nature of the nursery and their efficient drop-off-at-the-door policy, which gives us peace of mind knowing he is safe and well cared for. The varied food menu is fantastic, and he enjoys every meal. It’s such a comfort to know he is eating well while at nursery. Every morning, he is excited to be dropped off, and every evening, he comes home happy, which speaks volumes about the environment the team has created. He has moved through three different rooms so far, and in each one, the staff have been nothing short of incredible—caring, loving, and exactly what you would hope for in an independent nursery. A special thank you to Tracey and the entire team, who have been so supportive, especially during some of the tougher times we have faced. Their kindness and commitment to our son’s happiness and development mean the world to us. We will always be grateful for everything they have done and continue to do. If you’re looking for a nursery where your child will be nurtured, supported, and truly cared for, I cannot recommend Wollaton House Day Nursery highly enough. Thank you all so much!”
“Very nice school and friendly staff.”
“Amazing nursery. Sent all 3 of my children here and the nursery is so child friendly and child focused. The nursery makes you feel part of a family, which is always reassuring to know that your child is being looked after.”
