“My son has been at their setting in Yealmpton for the last year, he is more confident, outgoing and excited to go everyday ! Picking him up at the end of the day caked in mud head to tow really remind me whats import for children growing up. Thank you Venture !”
“Wonderful, relaxed atmosphere and a gorgeous space. All three of my children have been to Wyld Thyngz and they have loved every single second.”
“Despite our son Gaige's enthusiastic anticipation of starting preschool, his mother and I approached the situation with tense apprehension. In September, Gaige was still grappling significantly with a developmental learning delay that affects his ability to communicate. Moreover, although somewhat embarrassing to admit, we were also nervous about starting the ‘school run’ ourselves. As disabled parents, with a six-year hiatus since our last school commute, we felt utterly unprepared and out of place. Any trepidation we felt was swiftly assuaged upon discovering Venture, a preschool that exceeded all possible expectations. From the children to the staff, everyone exudes a contagious calm. There are no tears, tantrums, or parents pulling out their hair at the school gates; instead, there are young people eager to discover the new day and grow as individuals. Everything in Venture, from the environment to the facilities to every intricate detail, is executed with a child centric focus that promotes introspective revelation. They discover themselves by exploring the beaches and forests of Mothercombe, as well as scrutinizing the surrounding countryside of Kitley Farm. They craft, cook and listen to music. They engage in stories and group conversation and are provided the tools and guidance to satiate their own curiosities. They are listened to and by example listen to others. Most significantly, they explore the world by being given the opportunity to repose in their own private contemplation. I have often expressed my jealousy to the staff, wishing I had attended a school like Venture when I was growing up. Each child is treated as an individual with their own unique personality, and the staff manifest a genuine respect for every child parent and colleague. The children are afforded their own space and encouraged to engage at their own pace. We are kept up to date and fully informed about Gaige's progress through photos and journal entries that are updated frequently. During the mid-point of the autumn term, a parents' evening was held that was, ‘in the best way possible’, more akin to an informal gathering of close friends than a traditional academic meeting. Different members of the Venture team took the time to speak to each parent individually, affording them the opportunity address any concerns they wished to discourse upon. The staff took it upon themselves to provide food and drink, making everyone feel welcome and included. We were able to listen to the philosophy and mission of Venture and hear inspiring stories that underscore the motivations behind the school. It is evident how much the staff love what they do, and their passion for their work is palpable. The effectiveness of what Venture is doing is self-evident. Although Gaige has only been attending since September, he has experienced significant growth in confidence, self-assurance, and curiosity. As if that weren't enough, Gaige's enthusiasm for his biweekly frequent to Venture is unmistakable. Getting Gaige to go to sleep is often a fraught endeavour, however knowing school is the following day makes nodding off a far simpler execution. I may be expressing my admiration quite enthusiastically and may come across as overly effusive, but it is a genuine struggle to articulate, or at least beyond my ability to articulate, just what a miracle Venture has been for myself, my partner, and most importantly, Gaige.”
“Its a great gymnastics club in Plymouth, the coaching is fantastic.”
“Nutkins provides a warm and welcoming learning environment for all children. All of my children have attended over the last 8 years and have loved every minute of their time spent there and have been well prepared for life in 'big school'. The staff are friendly, nurturing and always bringing new learning opportunities in to the pre-school for the children to enjoy. Nutkins is a well rounded, lovely place for your precious little ones to grow and learn.”

“I've followed Charlotte / A Write Mess ever since my daughter was about 6-7 months old and finally got around to taking 'A' to her first session when she had just turned 1! Wow!!! I absolutely loved it and Addison really enjoyed the exploring! From watching, listening, following on social media and now getting to know Charlotte.. you can really see the amount of thought, time and effort that goes into each week/theme! My daughter has multiple allergies and Charlotte makes sure everything is suitable for her to get stuck into!!! My daughter is 15 months now and I can see it being suitable and 100% knowledgeable/educational for her right up until (and even beyond!!!!) school age! Would highly recommend - just take a puddle suit and prepare to get messy!!”
