   This solicitors has dragged out our house sale by over 4 weeks now. They won’t speak to our solicitors on the phone, only via email. They have suggested 4 move dates and last minute stated they cannot achieve the dates THEY have suggested. We are still awaiting updates from them. We are utterly disgusted by their responses to our solicitors as they do not provide reasoning and the fact they are continuously delaying our house move despite everyone being flexible!!!!

   I had a similar experience to Abhishek Dixit unfortunately. When we found out that Anthony Stockton were not on the panel with our lender we were instructed to pay a very large sum for a few short (less than a minute) phone calls. They are fairly cheap but definitely do not use them!

   They were recommended by a collegue at Jaguar Land Rover. Found them very rude, specially Mrs Sue Copplestone who dealt with my case. Completely unprofessional and rude. When escalated the issues with her to Mark Stockton thinking that as an owner of the firm he will take some responsibility, the response from him was not at all promising. Low quotation but will end up with completely rubbish final bill. I was asked to pay a lot of money on per minute basis when asked to phone the status of draft contract by seller's solicitor. I have been told this does not come under normal conveyancing. Avoid at all costs even though the quote looks a bit cheaper than others. I have asked them to close my file. As a first time buyer with large deposit, I would like to deal with someone who is a little more patient in answering my queries.

   I have been using Anthony Stockton for a range of property transactions over the past fifteen years and have always found them very freindly, efficient and professional. Having previously used various other firms and been left out of pocket due to their ineptitude I now always use Mark and his team as I know that matters will be dealt with properly. Highly recommended.

   Anthony Stockton acted on behalf of my two daughters who were buying their first property together with our help. I would say that we would not recommend them nor use their services again. I am aware that buying can be stressful and having bought and sold several properties I am not unaware of the issues. However, my daughters found dealing with them very difficult and their responses were at best curt, initially having been transferred from one solicitor to another without notice. We went through the most stressful time ever toward the end (having paid a large deposit) of the sale and did not once find anything in their response to help us. When it came to paying their bill I can only say we spoke to the rudest person we have ever dealt with.
