My children have only had one session and they loved it! They felt very welcomed and involved. Neil is really funny, professional and knows his stuff! My children can't wait to go again! Would definitely recommend.

Excellent club with an excellent, knowledgeable, patient teacher Mr Neil Capper. Plenty of classes available, pay one set very reasonable price a month & attend as many as you wish. Both children, adults & families can attend at the same sessions, so gets you active with your kids, resulting in the club having a great family atmosphere. Both myself & my son have been attending this club now for a few years & enjoyed every minute, wish I'd taken it up years ago!

My eldest son, Jamie, who is on the autistic spectrum, started training here about a year ago, and to my surprise, he has stuck at it. He has tried other clubs before and none of them have made him feel as welcome or valued as North Halifax Taekwondo. He has now entered several competitions, and has managed to win a bronze medal, something he is really proud of. The instructor is patient with all his students and, unlike other clubs in the local area, he takes time to explain the reason behind what he is teaching, making the whole learning experience a lot easier for students. This is a fantastic club, and the only one in the area which I would recommend to any prospective student.

I have been looking for a good Martial Arts school for some time now and finally found this one. The club is fantastic. The club has a real family feel about it and the instructor goes above and beyond to make sure you feel welcome. The price is also fantastic and I would happily pay twice the costs for the quality of training. How it can be so cheap for such good quality is unknown/ I was concerned about the good grading record of the club, but as the instructor explained, he only allows those to grade who are ready, unlike other clubs in the area who put you in regardless. Neil takes his time to explain the techniques and also why you are doing them, making their application in different situations a lot easier. The instructor is also fantastic with the children, getting down to their level to teach them, instead of talking down to them, like I have seen in many other clubs in the area. Definitely recommend this club above all others to everyone, you wont be disappointed

My Son started Taekwondo 9 months ago, everyone there made him feel very welcome and made him feel part of the North Halifax Taekwondo family, since joining he entered his first competition and won a silver medal which made him feel very proud. The instructor is always on hand to give help to every student there and makes everyone feel very welcome.

my son started Tae Kwon Do 2 years ago, We got him going because he was boisterous and lacking in discipline because of his ADHD, he has come such a long way in such a short time, he still forgets himself but is getting there. He's much more thoughtful and has made new friends. His teacher, Neil Capper is patient, understanding of Kallum’s behaviour. Neil always gives you feedback after each lesson and is friendly. Kallum is now a blue tag and looking forward to going for his blue belt this month. We were that pleased with Kallum’s progress we even started our Daughters one of which is also a blue Tag and ready to grade to blue in August along with our other daughter who will be going for her blue tag. I would and do recommend anyone of thinking of joining the class to come along and see what it's all about, you will really love it
