Today a dr saw me for a swollen knee and a chest infection his advice about using my prescribed inhaler was spot on. I feel much better and the wheezing has almost gone. Thank you so much. Lee Irwin

Website says they are open until 8, yet we were turned away at 7:30 because they were not taking any more patients into the empty waiting room. If this is the policy, it should be clear on the website.

Came here about 9:50 on a Sunday morning. Greeted.by a lovely staff member on the desk. It was busy, hot, cramped in there. My son is autistic and they were OK with him sitting outside and letting staff know to come out and look for him when it was his turn to be called. All in all took 32 mins from arriving to leaving with the antibiotics he needs. Lovely nurse in triage and nurse practitioner. Never used here before and.amazed at the difference in it compared to our more closer one which we refuse to use any more.

Told to go by my GP to walk in centre, was seen within 10 mins for BP check, 20 mins later called by male doctor. I hadn't had my swab results from another hospital so he rang around and got the correct medication for me. He dressed my wound and had prescription sent to my pharmacy as i live in another town. I can only say from lady on reception to everyone who helped me, thank you so much.

Went on Easter Saturday as I had started to feel rough on the Thursday before with a very sore throat. Arrived just after opening at 8am with about a dozen people before me, spoke to a lovely receptionist who took all my details then asked me to wait in waiting area. I was triaged within 20 minutes and then called to see the nurse practitioner about 30 minutes later who confirmed tonsillitis and sent a prescription to my local chemist. Excellent service by really caring staff. Never once did they make me feel as though I should not have been there. Very grateful to them for looking after me so quickly.

Attended recently on advice of my health care professional, reception staff polite and friendly as was the triage nurse, sadly that's when things deteriorated. I was seen, not by a doctor but by a 'clinical specialist' who did not introduce himself by name, only by his title. He was very uncomplimentary about the HCP who referred me and proceeded to inform me why my referral here was inappropriate. Arrogant, condescending, dismissive and unhelpful would adequately describe his attitude, he seemed to resent the fact that I had the audacity to attend the unit at all. His report that was sent to my GP was inaccurate on a number of counts and did not reflect what I had said during the meeting. Needless to say I went away having received no help or positive advice whatsoever and God forbid that if I ever have need to attend here again I will try to ensure I am not seen by this unpleasant individual.

Avoid, avoid, avoid. The worst hospital I have ever been to. I went there after a snowboarding accident in Manchester (Chill Factore) and I knew I had broken my elbow (you could tell by the swelling and the red dots all over my arm). They took an x-ray after leaving me for hours in agony without any pain relief. Two of their inept staff said that there was a β€œshadow on the bone” and sent me home. Most other places would have taken a second x-ray to be certain. I returned a week later to be told that two of their best radiographers had also reviewed the x-ray and thought the same thing. 13 weeks later I travelled to a physiotherapist at Southport hospital, he took one look at my arm and asked if I had been given an MRI or a CT scan, I told him no and he refused to give me any treatment until I had. Thank goodness for that man!! Long story short, I had broken the coronoid process and had grade two ligament tears in the medial and lateral ligaments. I had elective surgery a year (!!) later and my elbow has never been the same since. It’s taken me so long to write this review as I was actually pursuing a case against this inadequate hospital with my solicitor. Please, go to a better hospital with more competent staff. As a result of their inadequacy, I was left in agony for 13 weeks and told to move the elbow and do all manner of painful things with it. They were also super rude in the hospital and I was always left waiting for hours. I called them so many times and never once received a call back. I don’t believe that the NHS runs this walk in centre either, I’m sure it is privately run by HCRG (Virgin healthcare). Thankfully I live in Germany now, with a healthcare system that works and I feel so bad for the people of the UK with such incompetent healthcare professionals.

I don't normally leave a bad review but people need to be aware of the neglect that happened to my mother here Not enough parking spaces - people driving round & round panicking that they're going to be late for their appointment because they can't park. I sent my elderly mother in for her B12 jab because there were no parking spaces free, I waited in the car for a space to become free. But then gave it up for somebody who was circling round looking for a space. Meanwhile my 83 year old mother was left in the waiting room for over three quarters of an hour! The B12 is a quick injection. I got so worried that I tried to ring the reception, my calls got answered but only for a recording telling me to try ringing later, as soon as the message was over the calls got ended! Eventually a call was answered but this person was at a different site (Formby) - she deserves 5 starts because she did all she could to fund out if my mum was ok. Initially she tried ringing - no answer. She too was worried now because the system confirmed my mum had been book in nearly an hour ago. Finally she said the only option left was to use an emergency texting service, she said she'd call me as soon as she got a reply..... The lady called my back a few minutes later, at the same time my mum appeared at the door to come out. My mum had been totally ignored, even though there were loads of staff milling around (and some of these people had looked at her wondering why she was still sitting there) NO ONE checked until the emergency text came through. Apparently there was a sudden flurry of activity and my was called into a room to have the injection We all have our off days but this was multiple people who let her down. She was badly shaken when she came out and she felt poorly and shaky for the rest of the day Very distressing for both of us
